Blake Shelton Tweets He’s ‘Single’ After Awkward Interview On ‘Today’ With Gwen Stefani

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are sizzling hot right now, and their flirtatious relationship is on full display for fans and the rest of the public. The pair are definitely helping ratings on The Voice, and their chemistry intrigues the masses.

On Monday, Blake posted a message on Twitter that had everyone reading into it. He made reference to himself as being “single,” and fans jumped all over that one.

Shelton tweeted, “One thing I have learned about being single. It is entirely possible to live off of the food I’ve received in gift baskets. Hurry Christmas!”

To some, this automatically meant Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were no longer an item.

“@blakeshelton wait what about Gwen I’m confused,” one responded.

“@blakeshelton Last I checked I thought you and Gwen were a thing? lol,” another wrote.

Others forewarned Blake that his innocent tweet would draw scrutiny in his relationship with Gwen since many interpreting the term “single” to mean that he’s no longer together with her.

Still, many understand that “single” doesn’t necessarily mean not being in a relationship, but not being “married.” As most who follow Blake Shelton are well aware, he’s no longer married to Miranda Lambert.

In another tweet, Blake set everyone straight. He was tired of the all the speculation.

“And before yall start, ‘single’ means not married… Jesus,” he wrote.

The message had crying emojis at the end of it.

There’s no doubt he and Stefani are having fun with this relationship. Rumors have already come down the pike over these two. There have been reports that they plan to elope, have a baby and everything that goes with being in a new romance.

Shelton and Stefani appeared on Monday morning’s Today with fellow Voice judges Pharrell Williams and Adam Levine. When asked about their relationship, Gwen gave an uncomfortable smile and Blake laughed it off. Neither of them offered much information. Adam Levine addressed in his goofy way how “awkward” everything became. The interview ended on a good note, but Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani didn’t give anything away during the interview.

According to Hollywood Life, Stefani had her own interview with radio station 106.1 BLI Long Island with the Dayna & Jayson in the Morning show.

The 46-year-old admitted to feeling “embarrassed” and rather “exposed” by her high-profile relationship with 39-year-old Blake Shelton.

“When you performed ‘Used To Love You’on The Voice and that gentleman of a country man stood up and applauded… and everyone was like ‘look how cute they are,'” Jayson said in his interview with Gwen.

He then asked her, “Are you ever like, ‘don’t do that, he just likes me. This is embarrassing.'”

Stefani described her relationship with Shelton as a whirlwind romance. Everything happened very quickly, and she feels a bit overwhelmed by the attention.

“Everything changed so quickly like overnight,” she said. “I’m so tongue-twisted right now — I don’t like talking about it. I am embarrassed about it sometimes because I feel so exposed but I am so grateful for that friendship that saved me through this year. It’s unbelievable what it takes to get through stuff.”

One might wonder how a celebrity so accustomed to being in the spotlight can feel “exposed” over a relationship, but when you consider she just went through a divorce prior to getting together with Blake, it could be a bit much to take in all at once. She was married to husband Gavin Rossdale for 13 years. Add to that, she’s also new to the dating scene again. She’s not exactly getting a chance to get acclimated to her new situation in private, which is just one of the pitfalls of being a big time star!
