Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Play Coy With Questions Amid PDA As Steamy Affair Boosts ‘The Voice’ Ratings [Video]

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are coy about questions regarding their cuddling. But even though they have dodged questions during interviews, the hot couple are packing on the PDA behind the scenes of The Voice. As a result, the reality TV show itself is profiting from Gwen and Blake’s romance, according to Radar Online.

The producers are thrilled and hope Stefani and Shelton keep the heat from their affair alive, with The Voice insiders pointing to the jump in ratings from one week to the next. For example, the November 30 show attracted 12.56 million viewers compared to 10.29 million the week prior. The source revealed to Radar that it’s the steamy relationship between Gwen and Blake that’s pushing up the numbers.

“People are tuning in just to see the sparks fly between them, so they were told to keep the momentum going and make it even steamier,” said the source. “Gwen’s whole ‘I love you, Blake’ thing was not planned. However, it was perfect and they loved it.”

Stefani and Shelton both suffered through divorces over the summer, with Gavin Rossdale splitting from Gwen and Miranda Lambert splitting from Blake. Consequently, their romance has provided not just personal comfort, but now, with the popularity of the hot new couple on The Voice, the relationship could offer financial security as well.

And sorry, Christina Aguilera, but the insider also told Radar that the producers are tempted to dump her and go with Stefani for the upcoming season, crossing their fingers that she and Shelton keep their romance going.

“The executives already want to keep Gwen for next season and keep the cast as is. The way things are going right now, there is no reason to sub her out for Christina. Everyone just hopes that Gwen and Blake stay together,” the source told Radar.

But if you’re wondering how their romance is going, don’t ask Stefani and Shelton directly, reported Today.

Although The Voice coaches are more than happy to discuss the show itself, questions about Gwen and Blake were ignored. Watch below to see what happened.

“Next question!” demanded Adam Levine.

However, he and Shelton were willing to discuss their bromance and the song that represents it.

“You know that song ‘That Smell’?” questioned Blake. “Or what about ‘Lick It Up’?” he pondered.

But while Shelton played coy in the interview, he just couldn’t seem to refrain from proving his affection for Stefani on The Voice with a PDA-packed moment, reported People.

“Blake came up to Gwen from behind and kissed her on the head. It was so cute!” an eyewitness recalled to People. “She turned around looking semi-shocked that he did that.”

And the studio audience for The Voice also reacted with oohs to the PDA as Shelton and Stefani showed they were enjoying the flirty fun. Blake even provided a look at his inner vampire by acting as if he were biting into Gwen’s shoulder.

The romance between Shelton and Stefani started in November. Miranda and Blake ended their divorce over the summer after having been married for four years, while Gwen and Gavin finalized their divorce after 13 years of marriage this year, as well.

But Stefani and Shelton seem to have enlisted the help of Adam Levine when it comes to protecting them from intrusive interview questions regarding their romance and relationship. Natalie Morales recently tried to push the couple to provide details of their status.

“Blake and Gwen we all know what’s going on with you guys, is it good to just be out in the open now?” questioned Morales.

“Diversion! Distraction!” sang out Adam.
