Although some criticize President Obama for being soft on terrorists, the president reiterated in his speech how much he has given the go-ahead for terrorists to be killed.

“For seven years, I’ve confronted this evolving threat each morning in my intelligence briefing. And since the day I took this office, I’ve authorized U.S. forces to take out terrorists abroad precisely because I know how real the danger is. As Commander-in-Chief, I have no greater responsibility than the security of the American people.”

President Obama spoke of himself as a dad to two young children who sees the humanity in the faces of those people who died at the holiday party in San Bernardino, and as such Mr. Obama wants to do all he can to address the very real threat of terrorism. He spoke of stomping out ISIS, but not doing it with tough talk and empty rhetoric.
