Kristin Cavallari’s Brother, Michael, Reported Missing, Vehicle Found

Kristin Cavallari’s brother, Michael Cavallari, has been reported missing, and hasn’t been seen by his family since Thanksgiving weekend.

According to a news release from the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, the authorities have been searching for Michael since his vehicle was discovered last week. The release states that the Grand County dispatch was contacted on November 27 to report a vehicle five miles south of exit 175 on I-70. When the authorities responded to the location of the vehicle, they found a 2014 Honda Civic, which had apparently been abandoned by the driver. The authorities searched the area, but were not able to locate the owner of the car, which was traced back to Michael Cavallari of San Clemente, California.

Michael’s laptop and cell phone were said to have been left in his car. However, the police were able to track his credit card transactions to a convenience store in Monticello, east of where the car was found abandoned. Security footage at the store made it possible for the authorities to positively identify Michael as the driver.

As of now, the Grand County Sheriff’s Office is handling this matter as an active missing person investigation. They are asking anyone with any information of the whereabouts of Michael Cavallari to contact the Grand County Sheriff’s Office at 435-259-8115, or on their website at www.grandcountysheriff.org.

The authorities confirmed that Michael is the brother to Kristin Elizabeth Cutler, who appeared in the reality shows Laguna Beach and The Hills. Cutler is married to Jay Cutler, who is an NFL quarterback for the Chicago Bears.

Kristin and Jay welcomed their third child together, a daughter named Saylor, on Monday, November 23, just a week before Michael went missing. Cavallari made the announcement on Instagram, revealing that Saylor James Cutler had made her grand entrance into the world, weighing in at seven pounds, six ounces, and measuring 19-and-a-quarter-inches long. Saylor joined the couple’s two other children Jaxon Wyatt, 18-months, and Camden Jack, 3.

“She’s going to steal Jay’s heart, which will in turn melt mine!” Cavallari said prior to giving birth, according to People Magazine. “I’m excited for the boys to grow up with a sister. I think it will help them to better understand and respect women.”

Saylor’s name, Kristin said, had been picked out by the couple for years, and came from a very unusual place.

“We picked out this baby girl’s name when I was pregnant with our first,” Cavallari said in September “I met a woman and her dog, and I loved her dog’s name. Funny enough, it was the name she had picked out if she had a girl, but she had boys, so she used it for her dog instead.”

According to a previous report by the Inquisitr, Bristol Palin recently revealed that she had also decided to name her daughter the same name, albeit with a different spelling — Sailor. Bristol’s name announcement came just one hour after Kristin revealed her baby’s name. To prove that she had chosen the name before Kristin’s big reveal, Bristol shared a photo on Instagram of several pieces of monogrammed infant clothing that read “Sailor.” Bristol congratulated the reality star on her new bundle of joy but added that she still planned on using the name for her own baby girl.

“When you find out @kristincavallari named her baby the exact name you are naming yours,” Palin captioned her post. “What a weird coincidence…congrats on your new bundle, and I do love her name…Still naming my baby girl Sailor!”
