Ed Sheeran Donates Clothes To Charity Auction: Here’s How You Can Own Them

Ed Sheeran is one popular performer, and his talent is in high demand, even when it comes to singing at weddings. Of course, he wouldn’t be singing at just any wedding. NASCAR reports that Kurt Busch, the Stewart-Haas Racing driver, wants Ed Sheeran to sing at his wedding. He announced his engagement to Ashley Van Metre in August, and while the wedding date is still to be announced, his bride-to-be wants Ed Sheeran to perform at the wedding.

“We’re working on trying to find dates and places and performers. She’s got a laundry list of performers that she wants. Ed Sheeran’s one of them. I’m going to be just in awe to see how all this comes together.”

There is no doubt that Ed Sheehan is talented. He performed in front of 32,000 fans in Perth, Western Australia, on Wednesday night and set yet another record.

Sheeran filled the stadium, despite having performed in Perth this past April.

WA Today reports that Sheeran’s goal with the tour is to be the first musician to do a stadium tour of Australia and New Zealand as a solo act. If anyone can do it, it’s Ed Sheeran.

However, despite his talent, which includes making multiple guitar sounds and the sounds of backup singers live during his performance, some fans question whether his performances are truly live, so he has started giving a disclaimer at the beginning of his shows, like the one he gave in Perth.

“I have a couple of disclaimers before the gig starts, I never really started my gigs with disclaimers before but I’ve had some experiences over the last couple of months that have made me want to do it… I did a gig in Winnipeg in Canada and I got my first ever complaint at a concert, a couple wanted their money back after the gig because they said I played with a backing track the whole show… This thing at my feet is called a loop station. Everything you hear tonight is completely live and comes from this guitar and this microphone.”

Ed Sheeran’s talent has given him a chance at winning the top position as British Artist of the Year at the BBC Music Awards 2015. However, he is competing with Adele and she’s no slouch in the music industry. Her recent return to the music scene with the release of her new album 25 has caused waves.

Ed Sheeran is following his Perth gig with concerts in Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland. But bringing joy to fans through his performances isn’t the only thing Ed Sheeran does. He also gives of himself to ensure that people who are less fortunate have what they need.

Noise11 reports that Sheeran recently donated a bunch of his used clothing to the Turn2us No Cold Homes campaign. The goal behind the campaign is to auction off celebrity clothing to raise the funds needed to help low-income families afford their fuel costs this winter. Dame Helen Mirren is also participating and says it is a worthy cause.

“There are so many people who can’t afford the basic essentials like a warm home and food for their families. That’s why Turn2us No Cold Homes campaign is so important and I’m pleased to play a part in helping more families get the vital help they need this winter.”
