Drake Store Opened With Record Turnout Wrapping Around The Block

Drake's OVO store opened in Los Angeles yesterday, and it was not a disappointment. Full of gratitude, Drake gave thanks via his Instagram page, and for good reason. As can be seen from the video, Drake fans wrapped around the block awaiting to enter the store.

While many knew the OVO shop would be a success, did people really know Drake's clothing store would do so well on its opening day? It's possible that even Apple hasn't seen such a lengthy line for its iPhone series.

In Los Angeles, La Brea Avenue has some long blocks. That isn't talking about two or three buildings. This was a span of seven buildings, plus one of them being a small warehouse — and that was before the line ever wrapped around the block.

According to CBC News - Canada, one Drake fan — Darnell Ferris — has the OVO brand's icon tattooed on his right shoulder. This is what he says about it.

"It's not just a brand name, it's a trademark. It's a lifestyle. It's sort of a vibe, that's what makes him really different."

The Inquisitr previously reported that Drake's store was set to open around 11 a.m. Accordingly, like any grand opening, enthusiasts made their presences known in a major way.

"In a series (two so far) of new ads for his OVO merch store, Drake tells a story without ever saying anything. The ads look like the start of a horror movie, maybe a psychological thriller, in which the hero becomes the villain, or the man has been missing the entire time, or everything is a dream."

According to Drake's website, he also had a limited edition "LA Dodgers" shirt dedicated to the Flagship, OVO shop. In the middle of the "A," you'll find Drake's very own signature owl. The back of the shirt says "Welcome" in the same typography. Also, not to burst online shoppers' bubbles, Drake says the limited edition apparel is only available inside the store.

Holiday hours are posted on Drake's OVO website. However, it's not clear whether they're Toronto-only times. Nevertheless, they are as follows.

Drizzy's official OVO website also displays models in selections from the clothing brand. This way, buyers can compare how the pieces would probably fit themselves.

Some company brands' fabrics run small, but you don't know it until after purchasing the apparel. Unfortunately, some of the aforementioned company types don't forewarn their customers either. However, as for Drake's brand, that doesn't seem to be an issue.

Details mentions that this is the "Hotline Bling" artist's first OVO store in the United States. While everyone is awaiting the Views from the 6 album, this is a great way for Drake to keep his fanbase appeased until his new music hits the shelves for listening pleasure.
