Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd Engaged After Maks Pops The Question

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd have always seemed like a perfect match. These two have been through their hard times though. The two have been back together for about a year and now the news is coming out that Maksim and Peta are engaged. She is about to be Mrs. Chmerkovskiy. Maks actually went to his Instagram to share the news that he proposed and she said “yes.” It looks like they are at some type of performance with Dancing With the Stars. You can see most of the cast, including his brother Val in the background watching the big proposal.

The post is a short one just showing the proposal and the fact that Peta said yes to Maksim. There are not a lot of details out yet, but this breaking news has DWTS fans excited to hear that these two have finally realized that they are a perfect match for each other. Fans are going crazy in the comments and are really excited to hear that they are taking it to the next level.

Back in May of 2014, Hollywood Life shared that Peta Murgatroyd was ready to do whatever it took to get Maksim Chmerkovskiy back. The two had dated in the past but split, but afterwards she realized he was the one. Rumors flew that Peta was dating her partner on the show James Manslow, but she really just had hopes of getting back Maksim. There were also rumors that he was dating his dance partner Meryl Davis, but there was not any truth to that either. A source shared back then that Peta was not over Maksim and wanted to get back with him. They then went on to explain that she had become really close with his brother Val Chmerkovskiy.

“She has gotten very close with Val and has really become Val’s best friend…in an effort to win Maksim back. She goes out with Val. She hangs out with him in the hopes that her friendship with Val will help her reconnect with Maksim.”

In the picture of their proposal, you can see that Val Chmerkovskiy has a huge smile on his face and obviously is okay with Maks and Peta getting married. This will make Peta a part of their family, but it has already seemed like she was that for a long time. Peta is constantly posting photos with Maksim on her social networks. It has been obvious for a while that they are back together, but fans never knew if it would go this far or not.

US Magazine shared back in January of this year that Maksim and Peta were finally fully back together. They originally dated in 2012 and 2013, so it took them a while to find their way back to each other. It did take them a while, but it was worth it in the long run. Obviously, both Peta and Maksim now realize that they are with the right person and are ready to settle down together. You know that if they decide to have children, then Maks and Peta will make gorgeous babies together. At the time when they got back together, a source spoke out about it all.

“Peta was wary at first since they fought so much and ended on such a bad note the last time, but he has been working hard to really be a good guy to her and show her that he’s changed.”
