Ellie Goulding At Art Basel Miami Where Stabbing, Fatal Robbery Occurred

Ellie Goulding has been at the center of media headlines because she is promoting her new album Delirium, and also may be especially happy to see her ex-fling, Niall Horan.

Nevertheless, Ellie Goulding has been flying all over the United States and went from Dallas to Miami and then to Los Angeles in just a matter of days over the first week of December. Although she did not participate in the incidents directly, the Art Basel Miami event Ellie Goulding attended has since been ensnared in a series of bizarre crimes.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Ellie Goulding is currently participating a lot of the same celebrity holiday concerts as One Direction. At the same time, Ellie Goulding is also allegedly involved in a break up with her long term boyfriend, Dougie Poynter.

According to E! Online, it was impossible to ignore the fact that Ellie Goulding was beaming when she leaned in on Niall Horan during a photo opportunity in Dallas, Texas, on December 2.

Although the focus of many news stories is the fact that her break up with Dougie Poynter could mean that she is available to get back together with Niall Horan — Ellie Goulding is involved in other headlines that the word Delirium could apply to.

Aside from music, Ellie Goulding has her own line of MAC cosmetics, and they threw a party at the celebrity-studded Art Basel Miami event over the first week of December. Although Ellie Goulding was not there for very long, she was extremely close to two events that happened at Art Basel Miami — one of which involved a fatality.

Ellie Goulding posted on Instagram about the MAC Cosmetics party she attended on December 2, but may not have been aware that there was trouble brewing nearby at Art Basel Miami.

The first crime at Art Basel Miami occurred on December 4, and involved two women fighting. Because there are so many performance art events at Art Basel Miami, no one realized that it was real at first. The fighting became very brutal, and one woman stabbed the other with an X-acto knife.

According to the Miami Herald, the Art Basel Miami stabbing incident took place at an art installation called “The Swamp of Sagittarius” and the artist, Naomi Fisher, stated the following.

“A guy walked up to me and said, ‘I thought I saw a performance, and I thought it was fake blood, but it was real blood.'”

Following that event, there was a robbery at Art Basel Miami that ended in a fatality, according to Gawker. On December 6, a man attempted to rob a bank and was fatally wounded.

Oddly, both incidents at Art Basel Miami involved criminals committing crimes with straightedge razor weapons.

Of course, Ellie Goulding fans will be happy to know that she left before things got heated at Art Basel Miami. Regardless, fans can expect Ellie Goulding to return to this event in the future — despite the danger Art Basel Miami coincidentally had this year.

According to the New York Times, celebrities have been frequenting Art Basel Miami for awhile and collectors of art call it one of the most important times of the year.

Adding to this, the BBC writes about Art Basel Miami and states the following.

“In a nutshell, it’s a huge showcase where people with the money can spend their cash on new pieces of art.”

This year, there were many other celebrities besides Ellie Goulding visiting the gallery, including Lenny Kravitz, Adrien Brody, Leonardo Dicaprio, and Katie Holmes.

Since leaving Art Basel Miami, Ellie Goulding has been with One Direction at the Jingle Bell Ball in Los Angeles, according to the Mirror. Although many fans were excited to see Ellie Goulding in Los Angeles with Niall Horan, no evidence has emerged (yet) that they were spending time together.
