Fans can watch the Alabama vs. Florida football game live online and see which team seizes the SEC Championship, and possibly take a big step closer to the College Football Playoff.

Alabama (11-1, 7-1) is looking to cement its place in the four-team bracket for the national championship, but will have to face a Florida (10-2, 7-1) team looking to win its first SEC title since the Tim Tebow era.

The two will meet for the SEC championship on Saturday at 4 p.m. Coverage will be provided by CBS, but fans will also be able to watch the game live online (link below).

Fans who watch the game will see a Crimson Tide team likely to lean heavily on running back Derrick Henry, who was pivotal in a win last week over Auburn to clinch the SEC West. The team fed Henry the ball a team-record 46 times for 271 yards, including 14 times in a row to ice the game.

“He’s the go-to guy,” coach Nick Saban said (via ESPN). “He didn’t want to come out. He wanted to go.”

Fans who watch the SEC championship game live online will see a Florida team keyed in on Henry and the other playmakers on Alabama. Florida coach Jim McElwain, a former Saban assistant in Alabama, said the Crimson Tide are great at getting the ball into the hands of the explosive players.

But, Henry is still a cut above the rest, McElwain said.

“In a long line of great running backs that were there, I think it’s a testament to coach Saban and what they’re committing to doing year in and year out getting that guy behind center like that,” McElwain said. “He can make a difference in any ballgame. He’s definitely a difference maker. We’ve got our work cut out for trying to jump on his back and slow him down.”

Florida is also working out their own issues, including the struggles of quarterback Treon Harris. McElwain shouldered the blame for his shaky play as of late, saying the coaching staff had been “trying to push the envelope a little bit.”

“That’s how we’re going to be offensively as we continue to grow. He’s probably handled and done as good a job with his skill set as far as helping some of those things moving forward. Yet, he’s learning. He’s there, he’s engaged. He’s our quarterback and I’m glad he’s our quarterback.”

It’s not just Harris who has struggled. Florida is coming off an embarrassing 27-2 defeat at the hands of Florida State and has been limping along for the past several weeks, dropping out of the peripheral of the playoff race.

Fans who watch the Alabama vs. Florida football game live online will see the most important game of the year for the Crimson Tide. Alabama ranks No. 2 in the College Football Playoff bracket and while a win would cement their place in the bracket, a loss could throw the whole thing into chaos.

While Alabama could still rank in the top four with a loss, most likely at the No. 4 spot. Winning would put all the worry away. As SB Nation noted, a Florida win would have more of an effect on the other bowls, likely dropping Ole Miss out of the Sugar Bowl and giving it to the Gators instead.

First, Florida would have to win, and the way both the Crimson Tide and Gators have been playing lately, that could be quite a task.
