Jenelle Evans Quits ‘Teen Mom 2?’ ‘I’m Done With The Show’

Is Jenelle Evans done with MTV’s Teen Mom 2? According to a new report, the answer to that question is “Yes!”

On December 4, OK! Magazine published a report, claiming Jenelle Evans recently shared a tweet, confirming, “I’m done with the show.”

Prior to her tweet being shared, Jenelle Evans was in an online feud with her ex-fiance, Nathan Griffith, who appeared on the fifth season of the show earlier this year. As the magazine revealed, Jenelle Evans got upset with her former partner after he announced that he and girlfriend Jessica Henry weren’t yet engaged, but had been enjoying spending time together.

In response, Jenelle Evans shared a tweet, which has since been deleted, claiming that her ex continued to film Teen Mom 2, much to her dismay.

“Well keep on doing that and filming with @MTV like u guys have been… Attention seeker. I’m done with the show.”

Jenelle Evans then reportedly took aim at MTV, telling fans, “Isn’t #TeenMom supposed to be about being a teen parent?!! I’m confused, the focus seems like it has shifted..”

Apparently, Jenelle Evans was upset that the network had been filming the seventh season of Teen Mom 2 with her ex, and may have been threatening to leave, or have left the show, because of it. However, it seems highly unlikely that Jenelle Evans would actually walk away from the series — and her deleted tweets may be a confirmation of that.

As OK! Magazine pointed out, Jenelle Evans wouldn’t be the first Teen Mom star to temporarily quit the show. In December of last year, ahead of production on season 6, Leah Messer told fans on Twitter that she would not be seen on the show, but that she wished her co-stars well. Then, weeks later, she returned to production with her then-husband, Jeremy Calvert, and her ex-husband, Corey Simms.

Maci Bookout also temporarily quit Teen Mom OG after learning her co-star Farrah Abraham had been brought back to the show. Earlier this year, after Abraham’s return was confirmed by her producers, Bookout, who welcomed her second child in May, said she was done with the show, but eventually returned. Still, she put her foot down when it came to her son, Bentley, and chose to keep him away from cameras due to Abraham’s career in the adult industry.

During an interview with Radar Online last month, Jenelle Evans opened up about her co-star, Messer, who has allegedly been dealing with a “not-so-secret pill problem,” according to the site.

“I think she should [discuss her addiction battle], but at the same time, no one can force you to do anything. You have to be ready for it… You can’t force people to go to rehab. If you do force them, they’ll do it like, ‘Yeah, I’ll do it to make you happy’ and then they’ll get out and probably do drugs again. They have to be ready themselves.”

Jenelle Evans battled addiction issues years ago, but after spending time in rehab, she was able to get back on track. Messer also spent time in treatment, but claimed she was there to tend to mental issues of anxiety and depression — not drug use.

“There is always time to change,” Jenelle Evans explained.

No word yet on when Jenelle Evans and her co-stars will be returning to MTV for Teen Mom 2 season 7.
