Miley Cyrus Surprises Britney Spears With Awesome Birthday Gift
Pop star Britney Spears celebrated her 34th birthday on December 2, and she got a huge surprise gift for her special day. Miley Cyrus wished her good friend a happy birthday with huge, silver balloons that spelled out the celebrant’s name.
Sharing her happiness and excitement over the former Disney star’s grand gesture, Spears took to social media to thank Cyrus for remembering her birthday.
Spears posted a photo of her with her family including her two sons – Sean, 10 and Jayden, 9 – on Instagram. “Had the CUTEST surprise party today!!! A special thank you to Miss @MileyCyrus for sending these awesome balloons!” she captioned the snap where she posed wearing a sparkly tiara.
Miley Cyrus is said to consider Britney Spears as a good friend who has gone through enough life experiences to understand what she has gone through herself. It was Spears who reportedly took the initiative to reach out to the “We Can’t Stop” singer through social media. “Maybe you can teach me how to twerk sometime LOL,” she said in a tweet to Cyrus.
In a previous interview with Huffpost UK, the young singer said she was thankful to find a person like Britney Spears, who can empathize with her journey from being a child star to one of the most popular stars in music today. Spears supported Cyrus during her attempt to break away from her Disney image.

“Everyone goes through a time in their life where they don’t want their picture taken every day,” Cyrus recalled. “She just never had that time where she could say, ‘I’m going through something right now and need to shut down.’ I also don’t have that, so it’s good to have that one person in my life who gets it,” she said of Britney Spears, who also underwent a drastic transition from a sweet, cute girl, to a more mature and fierce female artist. Both singers braved harsh criticisms in the past for changing their image and their music style.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer also admitted she is a huge fan of the 34-year-old pop songstress. She even watched Spears’ Las Vegas show in 2013, and the following year, she got the “Piece of Me” singer to collaborate with her in her album Bangerz.
“I don’t think there’s any pop idol that I really care about more than I care about Britney ’cause that was my first CD I ever bought,” Cyrus said as she fangirled over her “pop idol” during her interview on Alan Carr: Chatty Man back in 2013.

Along with photo of the giant birthday balloons from the younger pop diva, Spears also shared several cute shots from her surprise birthday celebration. Another photo showcased a display of cute and intricately-designed cupcakes. She also posted a photo of herself wearing a cozy bear bathrobe, smiling as she put her fondant-coated teacup cake on display.
The pop icon then thanked all those who sent loving wishes on her special day through her Instagram page: “Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes today! I loved reading them just as much as I loved my teacup cake.”

The pop singer seemed really happy with the birthday treat from her family and friends. Her father, Jamie Spears, did not forget her birthday as well. “My daddy caught a big one!” she wrote alongside a photo of her father holding a large fish for her birthday.
With all the cute gifts and sweet messages she received, Britney Spears surely had a fun-filled birthday celebration. She has been busy with her Las Vegas show so the momentary pampering and relaxation are more than well-deserved.
