Bobbi Kristina Brown Hits The Top Of Yahoo Search For 2015

Bobbi Kristina Brown was searched for more than anyone or anything else during 2015, according to the latest results via Yahoo’s end-of-the-year lists.

USA Today reports that the mysterious tragedy surrounding Bobbi Kristina that left her facedown and comatose in her own bathtub piqued the interest and concerns of millions of people worldwide. A big part of what makes the Bobbi Kristina story so devastating is not only that she was a mere 22-year-old when she passed away this summer, but also because her death closely resembled the death of her mother, the late Whitney Houston, who was found unconscious in a Beverly Hills hotel bathtub in 2012.

Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina’s former live-boyfriend, remains the primary suspect in her death. Although he hasn’t been criminally charged, he’s facing a wrongful death civil lawsuit in which he’s accused of stealing more than $11,000 from her bank account, as well as emotionally and physically abusing her. It’s also suspected that Gordon gave Bobbi Kristina a lethal dosage of a drug cocktail, including a bad batch of heroin.

Amid the aftermath of her death, Bobbi Kristina’s father, R&B singer Bobby Brown, 46, revealed that he’s working on a new memoir that details his life with former wife Whitney Houston, as well as his feelings surrounding the death of his daughter. Although the singer already had plans to work on the memoir prior to Bobbi Kristina’s passing, he revealed that he started pouring his emotions into the project, which has proven to be extremely therapeutic for him.

Bobbi Kristina passed away on July 26 in Duluth, Georgia. She was buried next to her mother in Livingston, New Jersey, at the Fairview Cemetery, on August 3.

Billboard reports that iPhone was the second-most searched term on Yahoo in 2015. According to Apple, the makers of the iPhone, the surge in searches most likely happened because the company released the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus on September 25. The phones are considered the most advanced iPhones to date, according to a press release made a few days before its release by Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller.

“Customer response to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus has been incredibly positive, we can’t wait to get our most advanced iPhones ever into customers’ hands starting this Friday. iOS 9 is also off to an amazing start, on pace to be downloaded by more users than any other software release in Apple’s history.”

Caitlyn Jenner came in third on Yahoo’s top search list for 2015. Jenner made headlines earlier this year after she transitioned publicly into a woman. Caitlyn gained worldwide attention during a two-hour interview on 20/20 while she was still known as Bruce Jenner. The former Olympian is hailed as one of the biggest inspirations to the LGBTQ community.
