Denise Richards Child Support Dispute Solved? Charlie Sheen Reportedly Paid $110,000 In Back Payments

Denise Richards and her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, have had an up-and-down relationship for years since their divorce. However, according to a new report, they may have recently made nice.

According to a Radar Online report on December 3, Sheen has just paid Denise Richards $110,000 in back child support payments after reportedly falling behind.

“At most he was behind two months by missing a payment because he switched business managers,” a source explained to the site.

Although Denise Richards and her ex-husband have had a turmoil-filled relationship for the past few years, the source claimed Sheen gifted Denise Richards $1 million for a renovation on her property — and that’s not all.

“Charlie gave [Denise Richards] a gift of $1 million a few years ago above any child support to help with her backyard. He advanced her significant money over a year ago in which there is a large credit that has not been used — in excess of her monthly child support.”

In addition to his payment to Denise Richards, Sheen previously shelled out nearly $10 million in an effort to keep his HIV diagnosis a secret. Last month, after rumors began swirling regarding his health, Sheen appeared on the Today show, where he told Matt Lauer he was HIV positive and claimed to have been blackmailed into payouts by several of his past sexual partners who knew about the diagnosis.

Prior to Sheen’s interview, in which he revealed that Denise Richards and their two children, daughters Sam, 11, and Lola, 10, were not HIV positive, Denise Richards spoke of their sometimes-troubled relationship during an interview on the podcast series, Allegedly with Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss.

“Charlie, when I married him, he wasn’t a bad boy,” Denise Richards explained, according to a report by Perez Hilton last month. “He was sober for almost four years. He was a very different person. His lifestyle was very, very different. He was a former bad boy, I guess.”

Denise Richards married Sheen in 2002 and filed for divorce in 2005. At the time of her divorce filing, Denise Richards was pregnant with the couple’s second child. While she and Sheen attempted to make their marriage work for a few months, their split was ultimately finalized the following year.

After their divorce, Sheen went on to marry his third wife, Brooke Mueller, and the two welcomed twin boys, Bob and Max, years later. Then, in 2011, Sheen and Mueller’s relationship came to an end. Also in 2011, Sheen, after dating a number of porn stars, including Bree Olson, was diagnosed with HIV.

While Denise Richards has been the target of a number of mean tweets from Sheen, she claims she doesn’t hold a grudge against anything her former husband has said about her while under the influence.

“I have a lot of empathy for anyone that struggles with addiction. I’m not going to judge the choices they made under the influence. I can only judge the person I’m meeting and I think sometimes past experiences make who you are so I just went off the person I had met and gotten to know and fell in love with. He was very different.”

In addition to their relationship hardships, Denise Richards also said she’s faced career struggles due to her ties to Sheen. According to her, she’s often considered “a lunatic and crazy” for being involved with the 50-year-old actor.
