Syed Farook Radicalized: Shooter ‘In Touch’ With FBI Terror Suspects, Tashfeen Malik Photo

Syed Farook Radicalized Update – FBI officials revealed during a San Bernardino shooting update press conference that Farook did travel to Pakistan and are yet unsure of how many other places he may have gone on a recent visit to the Middle East. The rental home searched last night by investigators may have not been the residence of Farook and Tasfeen Malik. California FBI officials said that the address may have just been used as a bomb-making factory. The black SUV used during the shooting was a rental vehicle. Three pipe bombs were wired together at the Inland Regional Center, but the devices did not explode.

FBI agents have found approximately 5,000 rounds of ammunition, at least one dozen pipe bombs and hundreds of tools for making IEDs – improvised explosive devices at the property rented to Tashfeen Malik and Syed Farook.

“He’s married and has a kid. We’re estranged because my wife got the divorce, and [she and my son] are together. She doesn’t want to see me,” the elder Syed Farook, the shooter’s father, told the New York Daily News. “He was very religious. He would go to work, come back, go to pray, come back. He’s Muslim.”

The shooter was born in America to Pakistani parents.

A San Bernardino County coworker of Farook, Patrick Baccari, said he shared a cubicle with the killer. During an interview with the Los Angeles TimesBaccari said Syed and his family appeared to be “living the American dream.”

Syek Farook was radicalized and in touch with a terrorism suspect being investigated by the FBI, according to a law enforcement statement given to CNN. A San Bernardino shooting update press conference just began, and may touch upon the possible ISIS connection further.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Tashfeen Malik, the wife of the San Bernardino male shooter, is a native of Pakistan. Farook recently began growing a beard and recently traveled to Saudi Arabia and spent a month in the Middle East. Law enforcement investigators reportedly believe that Farook may have met his wife while in Saudia Arabia for the hajj – an annual religious pilgrimage to the sacred city of Mecca. All devout Muslims are reportedly required to go on the Mecca pilgrimmate at least once in their lives.

Syed Rizwan Farook was communicating with more than one “international terrorism suspect” via social media and the telephone, KTLA 5 News reports. The Farook and Malik home was deemed an “IED factory” or an “IED facility” by some law enforcement investigators. The couple had attempted to use remote control car devices to activate their homemade pipe bombs. Tashfeen was a pharmacist. No photos of the female shooter have yet materialized on social media, or been released by law enforcement agencies.

Tashfeen Malik was granted a green card and given permission to live in the United States after marrying Farook. The couple had a 6-month-old daughter, who was dropped off with Syed’s mother the morning of the San Bernardino shooting. The shooters reportedly lied to the mother and said they had to go to a doctor’s appointment that day and needed a babysitter.

Both Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik were reportedly wearing GoPro cameras when they opened fire at the Inland Regional Center and killed 14 Americans. It remains unknown if the killers shared the video with another person, who could in turn post it to social media.

Three of the San Bernardino shooting victims remain hospitalized in critical condition, and two more victims are currently listed in fair condition.
