Josh Duggar Scandal Causes Anna Duggar To Get STD Test & Mull Divorce: Could Duggars’ Show Become ’19 Kids’ Reboot?

Josh Duggar may be out of rehab soon — and what awaits him could be a divorce decision from wife Anna Duggar. Although 19 Kids and Counting was cancelled by TLC, Josh seems to have produced 19 scandals on his own, from the reports that he molested underage girls, including several of his sisters, to paying for accounts on the Ashley Madison website for infidelity to admitting to cheating on Anna and an addiction to porn. The latest: Josh is being sued by an adult film star for what she claims turned into an assault during what was initially consensual sex for which he paid. Danica Dillon is asking for $500,000 for emotional and physical assault.

That’s caused money problems for Anna and Josh, but TLC is providing hope in the form of the Duggars’ new TV specials, which could become a 19 Kids and Counting reboot, according to Design & Trend.

Although Jill And Jessa: Counting On currently is scheduled only for three episodes, if the ratings are high enough, it could lead to an extended contract involving the whole family. Anna Duggar starred in one of the promos, where she discussed her heartbreak when she learned that Josh had cheated on her.

However, Counting On is not without its critics, who claim it is taking advantage of those victimized by Josh to make money. Among those slamming the show are groups on Facebook, one of which urges potential viewers of the Duggar family show to pledge to boycott Discovery channels while Counting On is broadcast and the other which is aiming to dissuade sponsors of the show.

Despite her money worries, Anna is getting closer to divorcing Duggar, according to the Hollywood Gossip. Josh is reportedly planning to head home for Christmas, but he may not get the warm welcome he’d like from his wife.

“She’s contemplating divorce, but now Josh wants them to renew their wedding vows in front of both of their families,” revealed a source.

Because both Anna and Josh have extremely religious families, Duggar is planning to use the double parental power to persuade his wife to stay.

Currently, Anna is experiencing what it’s like to be a single mom, although the Duggars have given her some support. As for precisely when Josh is expected home from rehab, Duggar is close to having stayed 90 days there, and with reports that Anna is considering leaving, it’s rumored that he’ll exit at the conclusion of the 90-day period.

However, Anna seems to have changed her usual timid personality after all the problems with Josh, and the evidence is that when she learned Duggar was described by Danica Dillon’s lawsuit as having unprotected sexual relations, Anna went to a clinic to be tested for STDs, according to Radar Online.

The 27-year-old was told that she did not test positive for STDs. However, that doesn’t end her worries since the outcome of the lawsuit by Dillon is still unknown. The court documents graphically state the adult film star’s allegations against Josh.

“Defendant manhandled Plaintiff and physically assaulted her to the point of causing her physical and emotional injuries. Indeed, Plaintiff felt as if she were being raped by the Defendant.”

Anna is not the only one impacted by the scandals generated by Josh. Other members of the Duggar family have been affected as well, pointed out Entertainment Tonight.

But for Anna, the heartbreak isn’t even close to healing, she shared during a sneak peek of Counting On.

“It was heartbreaking to hear, what had happened,” recalled Josh’s wife.

And Josh’s sisters were horrified as well, said Jill Duggar.

“I cried a lot of tears,” she revealed. “My first thoughts were for Anna.”

But both she as well as Jessa Duggar feel that they’re on the path to recovery.

“We’re getting through,” emphasized Jessa, as Jill concurred, “We will come out of this fire.”
