Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson Reveal Story Behind The One Direction Rainbow Bondage Bear

Backstage at last night’s Jingle Ball in Dallas, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson gathered with a group of reporters for a cramped interview. Like all One Direction interviews, this one probably had some caveats attached to it. Media are reportedly discouraged or outright banned from bringing up certain topics like Louis Tomlinson’s baby, Zayn Malik’s departure from One Direction, and the “Larry” fan conspiracy theory, which Zayn himself recently said is “hard for them,” according to Fader magazine.

Last night Harry Styles told reporters the story behind the rainbow bondage bear, a gayly-colored plush toy that is sometimes invoked as a piece of “gay” rumors evidence. Harry’s comments are sure to be dismissed by some fans as yet another part of a cover up by “The Management” (Modest Management, who guides the career of the One Direction guys).

It seems the bear was “adopted” by the One Direction crew after it was thrown onstage, and subsequently everybody embraced and attended to the plush One Direction mascot, who has followed the guys to many shows.

Maybe it was Lou Teasdale, the pastel hair-obsessed One Direction stylist and rumored Harry Styles love interest, who took a liking to the bear. The plush toy is covered by a mass of rainbow fuzz that faithfully represents the entire color spectrum — in fact, in its adventurous, gay coloring it does not look unlike one of the multi-colored ‘do’s Lou herself is responsible for popularizing.

Harry also revealed some of his songwriting secrets in the One Direction Made In The A.M. track-by-track analysis released in three parts on YouTube recently. Harry talked about “Olivia,” the Beatles-esque song that he penned, and revealed that he is not necessarily writing about a person even when a person is directly addressed.

The name could simply be “a label,” Harry explains as he recalls writing the track, which came to him quickly and which was a pleasure to record (the 1D heartthrob reveals that the strings in the song were recorded at Abbey Road).

“I like the idea” that it could be about something more abstract, like a feeling, desire or concept, said the long-haired crooner.

“It’s one of the cool things about music. It doesn’t have to be so literal.”

Harry Styles has thus confirmed that the tag “Olivia” could literally be referring to anything: a meal he enjoyed, a childhood memory, or even a totally abstract concept like “Liberty” or “Dignity”.

While Harry’s songwriting approach seems to be yielding great results, the crooner’s comments could also be read as an expression of exasperation. Harry was pressured for details by the nosy media following the release of “Perfect,” his song written with Louis Tomlinson, which seemed to contain a line about Taylor Swift.

“If you’re looking for someone to write your breakup songs about, baby I’m perfect”.

The 1D hunk is probably eager to emphasize that his songs are not always about specific women (even when a woman is directly addressed).

Is Harry tying to avoid a new mass-media inquiry into his love life by tagging “Olivia” as an abstract entity — rather than a living, breathing woman or girl?

Inquisitr also notes that Made In The A.M’s Louis Tomlinson-penned track “Love You Goodbye” is a clear and unequivocal break-up song. Have “Larry” theorists noted that the Styles line in “Perfect” may be about Louis himself, rather than Taylor Swift (if you know of any relevant Tumblr links, feel free to add them in the comments)?h

Whatever the case, Harry seems to be thriving in his new songwriting habit, and has confirmed alongside the rest of the boys that he will probably be doing some writing during the upcoming One Direction break.

While Harry may be eager to distance himself from romance speculation, high-profile women are not shy about coming forward and expressing their sexual interest in him. Amber Rose shocked many when she appeared on Fashion Police following the AMAs and made a lusty declaration dubbed by Uproxx as “TMI”.

I drew a water-bottle, because he makes me so wet!

The stripper-turned-businesswoman and Kanye West’s ex was not alone in lusting after Harry. E! host Giuliana Rancic, who was responsible for doing the viral interview in which Gigi Hadid appears to snub Harry, also revealed that she is a fan of the abstract-thinking crooner.

“I drew some lips and a tongue, because THAT’S what I want to do to him.”

“He is the hottest young guy in Hollywood right now,” Amber added of Harry Styles.

The sexually forward gender equality activist, who fills her Instagram page with extremely vulgar content and refers to herself as a “bad b****,” certainly made waves with her remark.

Amber, whose activism centers around her anti-slut-shaming platform, admits to being on the hunt for “a sugar daddy,” but recently complained that she cannot find a rich man who is also physically attractive and gym-sculpted, as reported by FreshBaze.

Perhaps Amber believes she has found what she’s looking for in Harry Styles, who in addition to being wealthy, handsome, and gym-sculpted is considerably younger than the American model, raising the question of whether the term “sugar daddy” is even appropriate here (indeed, Styles is almost young enough to be her “sugar-son”).

Rose deleted the Instagram post after discovering that one of the men unflatteringly depicted was a Nigerian superstar, as reported by The Net.

Is Amber Rose giving too much information? Is Harry Styles’ “Olivia” from One Direction’s Made In The A.M about a girl/woman? Tell us.
