‘Penny Dreadful’ Actor Josh Hartnett And Tamsin Egerton Are Proud Parents

Penny Dreadful actor Josh Hartnett and his girlfriend, Tamsin Egerton, welcomed a new addition into their home. The birth of the couple’s first child has been a welcome holiday gift for Hartnett and Egerton, who have been together since 2012.

Tamsin Egerton Delivers New Life And Makes Josh Hartnett A Proud Father

Josh and Tamsin were seen leaving St. Mary’s Hospital in London on December 1. Hartnett was seen to be carrying their new child in a baby tote, as Egerton left the hospital via wheelchair.

There is no word yet as to whether Egerton has given birth to a boy or a girl. Once the couple settles in with their new infant, a representative for Penny Dreadful‘s Hartnett is sure to release a public statement.

Us Weekly reports that 37-year-old Hartnett has been romantically involved with the 27-year-old Egerton since the couple met on the set of The Lovers in 2011.

Previously, Josh had expressed his feelings that dating co-workers was a mistake, but Hartnett changed his mind after meeting Tamsin. The Penny Dreadful star now feels that connecting with someone with whom he shares so many interests far outweighs the risks of heartbreak.

While the addition of new life into the relationship was still far off, Josh Hartnett had confessed to already having thoughts about the responsibilities a baby would bring. Hartnett mentioned concerns over bills and car seats, proving he would be most concerned about those practical matters.

Hartnett, along with Tamsin, will now have the opportunity to prove their parenting skills.

Penny Dreadful To Bring Patti LuPone As A Series Regular

Early in Penny Dreadful‘s second season, Patti LuPone made a phenomenal impression among fans, when Penny Dreadful presented the story of the Cut Wife. It may very well have been the most talked about episode of the season, Penny Dreadful‘s finale not withstanding.

Now it seems Penny Dreadful is bringing back Patti LuPone to play yet another powerful character. This time, however, Venture Capital Post is reporting that Ms. LuPone is being brought in to play a series regular.

In a new twist, Vanessa Ives will seek out an American psychologist, played by LuPone, in Season 3 of Penny Dreadful. There are few details confirmed for the storyline that will feature the award winning actress, except that Vanessa Ives (Eva Green) “turns to her alienist Dr. Seward (Patti LuPone in a new role) for help in battling the evil forces she cannot seem to escape.”

Meanwhile, Penny Dreadful has already given fans a glimpse of what to expect in the form of main villains for Season 3. While there are rumors of new characters, such as Jekyll and Hyde, the previous season seems to have already set up the primary plot for Season 3. Penny Dreadful‘s Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney) and Lily Frankenstein, played by Billie Piper, have already set themselves up as the new immortal threats to be defeated by Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton) and company.

The return of Penny Dreadful is scheduled for some time in 2016. While no exact date is yet given for the season premiere, the first episode is entitled “The Day Tennyson Died.”
