Yolanda Foster Addresses Ken Todd’s Harsh Comments About Her Physical Looks

Yolanda Foster is back for another season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and she is back to share her lyme disease journey. And based on the previews, it sounds like Yolanda’s illness will be a big part of this season’s drama. During the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiere, Foster stepped out for Lisa Rinna’s birthday party, but it was clear that she was struggling.

Yolanda Foster didn’t say much about her illness during the dinner, but the ladies were clearly judging her and watching her. She even left briefly to go freshen up in the bathroom. And while Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump told Yolanda she looked great, Lisa’s husband, Ken, had a different approach. He told the women that Foster did not look good at all.

According to a new Bravo report, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster is now responding to Ken’s comments that she looks bad and very sick. While most of the ladies came to her defense, saying that she looked good during Lisa Rinna’s birthday dinner, Ken was very direct in his assessment and delivery. To him, Yolanda did not look good.

“Ken Todd is right, I don’t look good. I definitely look ill … but that’s because I AM! I miss the days of what now feels like my old LIFE: the hair, the makeup, a sexy dress, but most of all being in a healthy body. At the end of the day, I now value to be ‘real,’ not to be ‘perfect.’ I still like to believe though that no beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart,” Foster revealed in her Bravo blog after watching Tuesday’s episode.

Foster has shared her journey on Instagram and social media, and her fans get to follow her every week as she tries new treatment options and medicines. She shares the good, the bad and the ugly and Yolanda has really put a face on the disease.

“If Lyme wasn’t such a controversial disease, I’d probably have chosen to deal with my journey in a more private manner, but the amount of suffering that goes on behind closed doors all over the world is unconscionable, and I feel it’s my duty to be a voice for those who can’t be heard. I want to shine a light on a disease that so many know so little about,” Yolanda Foster explains in her blog, revealing her reasoning for sharing her journey on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Right before the first episode of Season 6 aired, Yolanda Foster announced that she and David Foster were divorcing. It is no secret that the illness has been very tough on her, but it sounds like the illness is now taking its toll on her marriage.

“Things really changed in their relationship as Yolanda got sick, and then when her health worsened,” the source tells People, adding, “David travels all the time and they simply weren’t spending any time together. They just grew apart and the intense stress over her health and the disease was very hard on their marriage.”

One can imagine that David’s traveling was just too much for Yolanda, who used to travel with him while filming her early seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He isn’t slowing down with his work, and Foster is forced to stay at home to go through treatment. The couple recently sold their Malibu home, and she is now living in a much smaller space. It is possible that fans will see this on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“Sadly, we have decided to go our separate ways,” the couple told People in an exclusive statement, adding, “We’ve shared nine beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues.”
