Vanessa Minnillo, Nick Lachey To Welcome Baby Boy In September

Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey will be welcoming a baby boy this September.

Minnillo said:

“It’s a BOY. Nick and I are incredibly excited to share the news that we are expecting a baby boy. We can’t wait to meet him soon!!!”

Minnillo said earlier this year that all she wanted was “a healthy baby,” although she did admit that she was hoping for a boy.

Minnillo said:

“I’m excited either way! But I always wanted a boy first.”

Ace Show Biz reports that Lachey and Minnillo were engaged in November 2010 and were married on July 15, 2011. This is their first child together.

Minnillo has been using Twitter to update her fans about her pregnancy. Earlier this week she sent out a challenge to her followers, asking them to tweet photos of their baby bumps. In return, Minnillo posted an artsy photo of herself silhouetted against the sunset.

But the baby boy news isn’t the only big announcement that the couple has to make. Lachey announced yesterday that his boy band, 98 Degrees, would be getting back together for a reunion. Nick’s brother Drew said:

“We’re very excited about the opportunity, and we’ve been toying around with the idea for a couple years of: ‘if we got back together, when would be the right scenario, and this music festival right here just kind of seemed like the right time to get back together and do a show and kick the tires and see how it feels.”
