Chris Brown Shows Softer Side, Will Donate Money From ‘Royalty’ Sales

Chris Brown will donate $1 from every purchase of his upcoming album, Royalty, according to the New York Daily News. This information comes just days after his surprise mixtape, Before the Party, was released to the public.

Chris Brown made this announcement on his Instagram a few days ago.

“This Christmas — from now until Christmas — if you order the album, preorder the album, $1 of every album sold will go to Children’s Miracle Network Hospital,” Brown said.

Is it time to give Chris Brown a little bit of a break? His name seems to constantly be in the press due to his reckless behavior, but in more recent memory, he has turned things around.

For one, Royalty is named after his daughter, according to Us Magazine. For anyone who’s a fan of Chris Brown or stays abreast of hip-hop news, in general, they’ve probably seen the change in Brown over the past year as he gotten closer with his daughter.

He was also involved in a legal battle for custody of his daughter with Nia Guzman back in September of this year. On top of that, the Los Angeles Times reported that Brown didn’t even know about his child’s existence until she was about 8-months-old. He’s been showing signs of maturity ever since.

It seems as if Chris really loves his new daughter, even going so far as to make his new album cover a picture of himself and Royalty.

As for the album itself, it is his seventh release and is scheduled to be released on December 18. It sports 17 tracks, with the previously released “Fine By Me” and “Liquor” present on the list.

This isn’t the first album he’s released in 2015. In January, he released a joint album with Tyga titled Fan of a Fan: The Album. It sold 104,000 copies.

This has been quite the year for Chris Brown fans. A few days ago, he released even more music in the form of a surprise 34-track mixtape titled Before the Party. The tape included a feature from past flame Rihanna, and an insider at Hollywood Life reports that Rihanna had wanted to work with Chris again for a while.

“Chris gets nothing but cool points for naming his new album Royalty! That’s so sweet and a testament of how much he loves and honors his little girl,” the insider reported.

Rihanna confirmed the new change we see in Chris Brown, as the insider continues, “She feels in her heart that Chris is going to pump his soul into the album so it can live up to his daughter’s name and she wants to be part of that.”

Feelings involving his past relationship with Rihanna seem to have made it onto his new mixtape. Many speculate that the feelings were particularly strong in one of his songs titled “I Can’t Win.” Despite his relationship troubles, it seems as if Chris has turned a corner in his life.

As for now, Chris is showing his soft side in his donating to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Royalty might be his most successful album yet and his most personal. If you want to help Chris Brown donate while also getting great music from the popular singer, be sure to pre-order Royalty today.
