Corey Simms & Wife Miranda Take Their Premature Daughter Home From The Hospital: ‘Teen Mom 2’ Update

Corey Simms and his wife, Miranda, have finally taken their newborn baby, daughter Remington Monroe Simms, home from the hospital. On November 27, the Ashley’s Reality Roundup confirmed the baby arrived home just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. On Facebook, the Teen Mom 2 couple shared a family photo, which also included Corey Simms’ twins, Ali and Aleeah, with their many fans and followers.

Corey Simms’ third daughter (the first for his wife) was born on November 8, about two months before she was due, and weighed in at four pounds, 11 ounces.

On Instagram, Corey Simms’ father, Jeff, also confirmed news of Remington’s arrival with a photo of her and Ali.

In the caption, he told fans, “Aliannah read a book to her sister today. #aligrace.”

Corey Simms and his wife announced they were expecting their first child together during filming on the sixth season of Teen Mom 2. On the show, Corey Simms revealed the exciting news to his twins with a photo of the child’s sonogram.

Corey Simms wed Miranda in June 2013 following his divorce from Leah Messer, the mother of his twins.

On the MTV reality show’s sixth season, Corey Simms and his wife expressed their belief that Messer was hiding a drug problem, and Corey Simms continued to fight for full custody of the twins. While Corey Simms experienced backlash due to his on-air allegations against his ex-wife, he insisted to fans on Twitter that he had reason to believe Messer was using drugs. (While Messer did enter treatment in May 2015, she claimed her issues were anxiety and depression, not drug addiction.)

Below is what Corey Simms told fans on Twitter in August, via the Inquisitr.

“Idk why I’m tweeting this because I honestly do not care what people think or what they say about me but anyways. There is a reason for everything that Miranda and myself have said or done. We simply want the girls to grow up in a safe and healthy environment. There is a lot of things that has been told to us by very close members of her family that lead us to believe the things being told are very much true. If we didn’t care about the girls or the situation we would obviously not have anything to say or do about it.”

Corey Simms filed for full custody of his twins in 2014, and in October of this year, a judge seemingly agreed that he was better equipped to parent the girls and awarded him with primary custody. Messer, meanwhile, was restricted to just weekends. As In Touch Weekly revealed last month, Corey Simms reportedly provided the judge with evidence of Messer’s alleged failure to transport their daughters to kindergarten, and in turn, a judge granted him with custody.

In other Corey Simms news, the reality star has reportedly quit Teen Mom 2 after starring alongside Messer for the last five seasons.

“[Corey Simms] is done with the show,” a source told Life & Style. “He’s told MTV he will not return for another season. He doesn’t think the money is worth the aggravation anymore.”

Corey Simms and his wife have been targeted with harsh comments from fans in the last couple of years due to their allegations against Messer, and while they seem to have gotten some relief after Messer lost custody, it appears they will not be filming the show’s upcoming seventh season with the rest of the cast.
