‘The Walking Dead’ Cast: Who Is A Professional Photographer, Who Created Her Own Character’s Backstory, And Who Spilled Secrets To Jimmy Fallon?

The Walking Dead has a diverse cast of actors and actresses, and they seem to be particularly full of surprises these days. Take Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl on the show. Who would have guessed that he is into photography on the side? And he’s good at it! Reedus has a new photography show that will be on display at the Voila Gallery in Los Angeles until December 31.

According to Variety, the photos include those from his photography book (yes, he has a book!) and others that have never before been seen by the public. Reedus has posted details of his show opening on Instagram.

The Walking Dead star Sonequa Martin-Green has a very different surprise in store for fans. She has revealed some details of her character Sasha’s backstory, which is particularly important since Sasha does not have a counterpart in The Walking Dead comic books. Design & Trend reports that Martin-Green revealed she is responsible for creating most of her character’s backstory, including growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, and following big brother Tyreese everywhere.

“I created most of her backstory. Her childhood, adolescence that stuff has been filled in and fleshed out by me. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about Sasha’s relationship with her father. She was raised by a war veteran who had no tolerance for weakness and she was very much a daddy’s girl. She was always striving for his approval and wanting to make him proud. That’s something that she still carries with her, as we all do.”

Before the outbreak in The Walking Dead, Sasha worked as a firefighter. After the outbreak, she and Tyrese hid out in a bunker in their neighbor’s backyard. They managed for seven months until they ran out of supplies and had to move on. They joined a group that eventually was overrun by walkers, and then were on their own until they found Rick and his gang.

Warning: Spoiler Alert!

Whether or not there is an episode centered on Sasha and her backstory remains to be seen. She has to get back to Alexandria, and apparently that won’t happen by the end of the mid-season finale. But at least fans know what happened to Glenn before the mid-season finale! And it’s about time!

Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn, was on The Tonight Show last Wednesday, now that he is free to do interviews and talk about his fate on The Walking Dead. Jimmy Fallon started off by congratulating Yeun on being alive. Cinema Blend reports that during the interview, Yeun told Jimmy that he basically had to hide out and avoid everyone during his absence from the show.

“I was in a weird Atlanta apartment jail, so it was good… My little cousin texted me. She’s like, ‘Are you dead?’ And I just … didn’t respond. So I don’t know if I have a cousin anymore.”

He wouldn’t even tell his family about his fate on the show! Check out the interview here.

The creators of The Walking Dead are always full of surprises, which is why many fans are biting their nails with the approach of the mid-season finale. The biggest question of all is who will die? The Hollywood Reporter reveals that in the comic books, a number of characters die in the swarming of Alexandria, but the show doesn’t always follow the comic books, so it’s a wait-and-see kind of thing for fans.

One thing is certain, though. The Walking Dead is known for not sparing characters and sometimes even major ones fall victim to walkers or warped people. Fans will find out Sunday who dies at the hands of whom.
