Actress Anne Hathaway is expecting her first child with husband Adam Shulman, sources confirmed. According to Us Weekly, the couple, who married in 2012, are expecting their first baby this spring.
“Hathaway has been vocal about wanting to become a mom. In a candid interview with The Hollywood Reporter shortly after saying ‘I do’ to Shulman, the Les Miserables star said she couldn’t wait to start a family.”

People Magazine is suggesting that Hathaway is in her second trimester and has been able to keep the pregnancy under wraps until now.
“‘Anne is in her second trimester and feeling great,’ a source tells the outlet, which also posted a photo of the actress out in Beverly Hills earlier this week, sporting a bump.”
And the actress hopes to have more than one, but one at a time is fine with her.
“‘I’ll start with one healthy kid but I’d like to have a few naturally and adopt. I gotta get on it, you know?’ she told The Telegraph. ‘I’d like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special.'”
According to People Magazine, Hathaway has wanted to have a baby since her wedding to Schulman.
“I think about it all the time, though it’s a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I’ll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can’t wait to meet them.”

But Bustle unearthed where Hathaway and Shulman first met, and it was allegedly love at first sight. The couple first met in 2008, and at the time, Hathaway had just broken up with Raffaello Follieri after his arrest for wire fraud. At the time, Hathaway said she was looking forward to being single for a while.
“According to Hathaway, she had been looking forward to being single for a while after the split with Follieri, but when she met Shulman at the Palms Springs Film Festival in 2008, through a mutual friend, their connection was so undeniable that Hathaway told a friend at the time, ‘I’m going to marry that man.'”
Hathaway says that the couple had immediate chemistry.
“I think he thought I was a little nuts, which I am a bit, but I’m also nice. […] I’ve never really talked about this, but I was just very honest with him. I knew from the second I met him that he was the love of my life.”
She also admits that after finding out he was single too, she asked him out.

According to ET Online, the couple have yet to confirm the news through their representatives, but several news sources have confirmed that they’ve seen the bump.
“While Hathaway, 33, and Shulman, 34, have yet to make an official announcement, it’s no surprise they’ve kept the pregnancy a secret. After all, they joined the ranks of celebrity couples who opted to have a secret wedding when they tied the knot in Big Sur, California, in 2012.”
In September, Hathaway told Entertainment Tonight that she had a strong desire to reprise the role Julie Andrews had originated and play Mary Poppins on the big screen, which would definitely demonstrate a more maternal role than the actress has played in the past.
