Is Harry Styles ‘If I Could Fly’ A Song For Louis Tomlinson? [Rumor]

Rumors about Harry Styles and the rest of One Direction are rarely hard to find. The internet and gossip columns are awash with the latest tidbits about Styles and his bandmates every day of the week. Rarely a day passes without a new rumor emerging about who Styles is dating or how Harry is wearing his hair. Of course, most rumors about Harry and One Direction prove to be nothing more than that. As you would expect, some rumors about Harry, and indeed anyone else, have more than a grain of truth to them.

One rumor about Harry that re-emerges in full force every now and then is the one that insists Styles and bandmate Louis Tomlinson are in a gay relationship. As any fan of Styles or One Direction knows, Harry has a reputation as something of a ladies man. That reputation took root when Harry had a relationship with Caroline Flack, a woman almost twice his age, when he was just 17-years-old. Since then, Harry has been linked with a seemingly never-ending stream of beautiful women.

Styles’ most enduring relationship since he shot to fame after One Direction’s appearance on the 2010 season of X-Factor was a near three-month tie-up with fellow pop superstar Taylor Swift. Harry is also believed to have dated Kendall Jenner, who the Daily Mail reported he was dating in early 2014.

Around this time last year, it was being reported by the Mirror that Styles was smitten by Victoria’s Secret Model Nadine Leopold. One thing is certain: none of Styles relationships have lasted for very long. Of course, there is no surprise in that, Harry is a 21-year-old guy with money to burn and an “A-List” celebrity lifestyle. Styles and the rest of One Direction have worked hard for all they have achieved, and they are more than entitled to a bit of fun.

For his part, Tomlinson split with long-term girlfriend Eleanor Calder earlier this year and is reported to become a father in the new year. Despite these facts, there is one rumor that refuses to die. The rumor that Styles and Tomlinson are secretly a couple. As reported by the Inquisitr earlier this week, some One Direction fans have cited a host of “evidence” that points to Harry and Louis being more than just friends.

The rumors seem to stem back to when Harry and Louis shared an apartment and to the infamous Twitter message when Louis sent a message to Harry saying “always in my heart.”

As reported by the Inquisitr yesterday, some One Direction fans believe that the song “Home” was written by Louis for Harry. Many of those fans also claim that the song “If I Could Fly” was Harry’s response. Both songs were written when Liam and Louis were in London and Harry in Los Angeles. Both could easily elude to hidden relationships.

Long-time One Direction co-writer and collaborator Julian Bunetta recently told Rolling Stone that “If I Could Fly” was written by Harry. The song lyrics certainly allude to a deep and abiding love. In the chorus, Harry says, “For your eyes only, I show you my heart” and “I’m missing half of me when we’re apart.” Many of those who are convinced that Harry and Louis are lovers point out that the allusion to a deep and abiding love is somewhat incongruous for someone who is described as a “ladies man” and a “lothario.”

Some fans also believe that Harry wrote Ariana Grande’s hit song “A Little Bit of Your Heart” for Louis. The Daily Mail reported that Grande said the song was about “loving someone so much that you are willing to share them.” The “Larry Shippers” insist that this describes Harry and Louis’ relationship perfectly, as Louis was still with Eleanor when the song was written.

Of course, rumors are just rumors, but the claims that Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are a couple does not show any sign of fading away anytime soon.
