Why Louis Tomlinson May Not Be Able To Name His Baby

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is set to become a father for the first time early in the New Year. Whilst Tomlinson confirmed back in August that he would be the first One Direction star to have a child, Louis has been surprisingly tight-lipped about the subject since then. Baby Tomlinson was conceived when Louis had a brief hook-up with L.A. stylist Briana Jungwirth whilst One Direction were enjoying a short break during their recently completed “On The Road Again” tour.

Rumors that Louis was to become a dad began to circulate in July, and the Mirror reported that Louis confirmed the rumor during an interview on Good Morning America. It must be said that Tomlinson looked less than happy to be asked about the subject of fatherhood. As you can see Louis, smiled through gritted teeth as he replied to the interviewer confirming his forthcoming fatherhood.

“Obviously it’s a really exciting time, so I’m buzzing, thank you.”

Somewhat bizarrely, that short statement is the only comment that Tomlinson has made about the matter. It was recently reported in Inquisitr that journalists from the Sun claimed that, when they interviewed One Direction, they were warned that the interview would be ended immediately if either of two topics were raised. Those topics were Tomlinson’s baby and Liam Payne’s reported “meltdown” that led to the cancellation of One Direction’s show in Belfast.

Now it seems that Tomlinson may not be able to name his baby, though perhaps not for the reasons you may think. According to Louis’ band-mate Liam Payne, all of the One Direction boys are hopeless at naming things.

J14 magazine report Payne claims that they are so bad at naming things that other people have to dream up the names of their songs and albums.

“Somebody always comes up with a name for us, we are rubbish.”

“We are so bad at picking titles. It’s like naming children — we are going to have a real problem when we have kids, we’ll be emailing each other going ‘what shall we name this kid?'”

M Magazine speculated that this will mean that Louis will need to hold a band meeting to come up with a name for baby Tomlinson. That could prove a pretty awkward scenario for Louis.

Hopefully Louis will be spared that embarrassing scenario. After all, baby Tomlinson’s mama, Briana, may well have a few ideas of her own.

Tomlinson and the rest of One Direction are currently on a promotional tour for their latest release, Made In The A.M., which bagged the No. 1 spot in the U.K. but was beaten to the top spot in the U.S. by Justin Bieber. As part of the promotional round for their new album, Louis and the boys have made dozens of live TV appearances over the past couple of weeks. Not a single question has been asked about Louis’ baby, so it seems that the subject of baby Tomlinson is still very much a taboo one.

The state of Tomlinson’s relationship with baby mama Briana is far from clear. There has been speculation in recent weeks that Louis and Briana may be planning to get together as a couple in time for baby Tomlinson’s arrival. Louis seemed to have trashed that theory last week when he appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ chat show.

According to Unreality TV, Tomlinson insists that he is “a single man with no responsibilities.” Despite confirming that he is to become a father, Louis has certainly been playing the part of a single man. Last month Louis introduced Briana to his mother and sister. Briana was spotted supporting Louis at a One Direction show in London, but afterwards Louis went partying with a group of female friends whilst Briana was nowhere to be seen.

Sources have claimed that Louis intends to be fully involved in raising baby Tomlinson, but it looks like Briana may not be included in those plans.
