For the record, stress cannot cause a staph infection, but it can leave you more susceptible to catching one. When you are run down and perhaps not taking good care of yourself, you are more likely to catch any infection, especially in a hospital setting. But for now, Khloe Kardashian is banned from Lamar Odom’s hospital room until she is totally clear of the staph infection that is making her sick and could prove fatal to Odom.
The Inquisitr reported that Khloe Kardashian’s staph infection is bad enough that it took her away from her book tour and required IV antibiotics. Lamar Odom is still struggling to regain neurological function and has had surgical intervention for chest infections that likely came from being on a ventilator. Kardashian’s illness started with a lesion on her leg which led to fever, chills and swollen glands. Now Kardashian’s doctors and Odom’s doctors have made it clear that she must stay away until she is infection free.

People Magazine says that Kardashian is devastated that she cannot visit Odom while she is ill, but there is too much risk. Regardless of their protests, she did catch at the hospital where Odom is being treated.
“Khloé is devastated that she can’t go to the hospital and visit Lamar,” a source told People magazine. “That’s the thing that is bothering her most about the infection.”
There is no exact time frame that says when Kardashian will not be a threat to Odom’s fragile immune system.

Between shooting KUWTK, a book tour, and spending every spare moment at the hospital with Lamar, Khloe has been running herself into the ground, according to TMZ. Kardashian tweeted to her fans to tell them to listen to their bodies. She admits that she got the infection from getting run down by stress.
“Khloe believes she contracted staph at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A., where Lamar has been laid up. Cedars acknowledges it’s possible to get staph at the facility but says the incidence there is lower than the national average at hospitals.”

The Daily Mail reported that not only is Khloe on a strict regimen of antibiotics, but she is also on painkillers to fight the super bug.
“Signing off…. Antibiotics +painkillers + tweeting does not equal anything good lol.”
Khloe Kardashian is hoping to reschedule her bookstore signing appearances and feels badly for disappointing her fans. She is also hoping to feel better in time to host a family Thanksgiving dinner, which will no doubt be shown on KUWTK. But staph is no joke, and relapses are not uncommon.
“Staph infections are caused by a bacteria that typically lives on the nose or skin but can turn deadly if it enters deeper into the body and infects the bloodstream, joints, bones, lungs or heart. Symptoms can vary from painful skin rashes and boils to dangerous heart infections. Food poisoning, blood poisoning and toxic shock syndrome are some of the most common types of staph infections, which are typically treated with antibiotics.”
Understandably, that type of infection could threaten the life of Lamar Odom, who is finally starting to recover without the use of machines.
Do you agree that Khloe Kardashian likely picked up her staph infection at the hospital where Lamar Odom is being treated?
