Miranda Lambert Felt For Gwen Stefani During ‘Used To Love You’ AMA Performance

Miranda Lambert has reportedly taken a liking to Gwen Stefani. Despite The Voice star’s current relationship with Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband, Blake Shelton, the country singer was reportedly impressed with Stefani’s American Music Awards performance on Sunday night.

“[Miranda Lambert] can totally relate to her new song,” a source told Hollywood Life on November 23. “[Miranda Lambert] can sympathize with Gwen with regard to the words in I Used To Love You.”

In the new song, Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband’s new girlfriend speaks of the end of her marriage to Gavin Rossdale, who she was married to for 13 years. Although she doesn’t come right out and say Rossdale cheated, she certainly hints at the ongoing rumors regarding Rossdale and their former nanny, Mindy Mann.

Early this month, Us Weekly reported news of Rossdale and Mann’s alleged affair, claiming the two were sleeping together behind Stefani’s back for three years before The Voice star, who went public with her relationship with Miranda Lambert’s former partner weeks ago, discovered incriminating photos on the family’s iPad, in which the two allegedly made plans to meet for sex.

At the time the messages were discovered, Mann was fired, by Rossdale waiting months before copping to the affair, which ultimately led to their August divorce.

Just one month prior to the Voice star’s filing, Miranda Lambert and her former husband announced they were divorcing after just four years of marriage. And because the two women went through highly publicized splits just weeks of one another, they have that in common.

“Despite the fact that Gwen is dating her ex husband, [Miranda Lambert] has always been a fan of her music,” Hollywood Life’s source explained. “[Miranda Lambert] did see Gwen’s performance [on Sunday] night and thought she did an excellent job.”

While Miranda Lambert has remained silent about her split, as well as her ex’s new romance, a couple of her fellow country singers recently spoke out about the end of her marriage.

During a November 23 interview with People Magazine, Jessie James Decker weighed in on Miranda Lambert’s divorce from Shelton, explaining, “Everything that you’re seeing is what’s happening. I think maybe some people saw it coming, maybe some people did not. It was definitely sad, because people loved them together, but maybe they’re just better off going their separate ways.”

“I think some people probably knew about some things for a long time, but, you know, maybe not,” Decker continued of Miranda Lambert and her ex-husband.

Carrie Underwood, with whom Miranda Lambert sings “Somethin’ Bad,” spoke of her divorce from Shelton on November 22, telling ET Online that she recently spent time with the pair, separately, at the Country Music Awards in Nashville earlier this month.

“Well, I only saw both at the CMAs last, but you know they’re both amazing people. And I think, above all, us country folk, our community, we’re family and we just want everybody to be happy.”

Since her divorce, Miranda Lambert has kept a low profile, choosing to refrain from any new romances, at least public ones. That said, E! News recently revealed she is casually dating and continuing to focus on her music career, which will take her on a tour of several countries with singer Sam Hunt starting early next year. The site’s source also claimed Miranda Lambert was hopeful she would one day remarry and start a family of her own.
