Adam Carolla Makes Sexist Comments About Women in Comedy

Radio host Adam Carolla interviewed with the Post and didn’t hold back his feelings about women in comedy and where women belong on the totem pole of comedians. According to Carolla, women just aren’t on the same comedic level as men.

The former Loveline host spoke with the Post about women in comedy after the discussion turned after being asked if he hated working with women. The comedian expressed that he doesn’t but explained the logistics of women and where they stand in the industry, “They make you hire a certain number of chicks, and they’re always the least funny on the writing staff. The reason why you know more funny dudes than funny chicks is that dudes are funnier than chicks.”

If anyone thinks Adam Carolla is going to lose sleep about the possible reaction to his comments, fear not, the former Apprentice star doesn’t really care what anyone has to say about his opinion. He further expressed his opinion on the matter by saying, “they make you hire a certain number of chicks, and they’re always the least funny on the writing staff. The reason why you know more funny dudes than funny chicks is that dudes are funnier than chicks.”

This isn’t the first time Adam expressed controversial views of the opposite sex. In a 2005 show on Loveline Carolla said that “women don’t know anything about wars”. To prove his theory the radio host started quizzing on air females who called in to the show about war statistics. After all of the on air females failed his quiz, Carolla concluded the segment by saying “What goes on in that brain of theirs?”

Do you think Adam Carolla is right in his opinion of women in the comedic world, or do you feel that his comments are sexist?
