Was Carrie Underwood The Star Of The American Music Awards? Country Singer Stuns On Red Carpet And On Stage

As if Carrie Underwood couldn’t get any more gorgeous, she surprises everyone once again. The country superstar stunned at the 2015 American Music Awards, both on the red carpet and on stage as she performed her newest hit song. She had a great night rubbing elbows with the biggest names in the music industry.

Underwood represented country music beautifully. From the moment she walked down the red carpet in her gorgeous champagne-colored dress to the end of the show when she grabbed the award for Favorite Country Female Artist, the “Smoke Break” singer seemed to have everyone talking.

First off, Carrie Underwood turned heads as she made her dramatic entrance on the red carpet in a stunning dress by Elie Madi. The sparkling short number showed off her amazing legs, but it was the matching flowing cape and train that stood out so much. It was just perfect on her. She told E! News correspondent Giuliana Rancic that she fell in love with the dress once she tried it on. She might have made her fans fall more in love with her as well.

While chatting it up with Rancic, Underwood also gushed about her baby boy Isaiah, who is now 9-months-old. According to E! News, the new mom spilled details on motherhood so far and what her firstborn has been up to these days. She mentioned that Isaiah is very busy pulling himself up on everything, which makes her a little nervous.

“He’s pulling up. Within the past week he’s really gotten great at it and he’s pulling up on everything and walking around the coffee table. You have to move anything he could fall on.”

You can tell that Carrie Underwood loves that little guy so much, and she is enjoying motherhood so far. She is also enjoying her big man, husband Mike Fisher. In fact, she has co-written a song called “Heartbeat,” and she performed it at the AMAs.

As she was surrounded by a romantic setting, including candles and fog, Carrie sang from the heart. She had changed into a red gown with a sexy slit up one side and performed the romantic tune as if her husband was standing right in front of her. Not known for singing love songs very often, Underwood told Taste of Country why she chose to include “Heartbeat” as part of her new album, Storyteller.

“I don’t do typically do very many love songs. But ‘Heartbeat,’ when we were writing it, there was something so real about it. That’s definitely, in some ways, that’s me. It’s my story.”

The American Idol winner certainly has a story to tell. Not only has she found the love of her life and started a family, but she also ended up snagging Favorite Country Female Artist winning against her fellow country girls, Miranda Lambert and Kelsea Ballerini. Carrie had changed back into her caped outfit as she made her way up to the stage to receive the award. It was obvious just how much she appreciated everything that she has in her life. She thanked God, her fans, and the two guys in her life. The 32-year-old country girl once again gushed over her beautiful family.

“I’m so, so thankful. To my husband and my little Isaiah, you guys are the best things in my life. I have so much to be thankful for.”

Everyone seems to be talking about Carrie Underwood. She is a force to be reckoned with ever since her American Idol days. She rules country music, but she also rules at being a mom and wife as well. Motherhood seems to be agreeing with her, and she definitely proved that on Sunday night at the American Music Awards.
