Are Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Still Dating? Perhaps AMAs Will Provide Insight
Could Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani make their red carpet debut as a couple ahead of the 2015 American Music Awards? According to at least one media report, a Blake-Gwen sighting just might happen.
TMZ reported Saturday that the alleged Tyga and Kylie Jenner split caused seats to be moved at the show; and, as a result, the news outlet was able to confirm Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani could sit together. A photo posted by the website shows a seat card for Gwen Stefani on the right, an empty seat, and a card for Luke Bryan on the left. See the photo here.
Luke Bryan and Shelton are close friends, so it makes sense that the two country singers would sit near one another, TMZ reported.

Oddly, another TMZ report questioned whether Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were even dating at all. When a TMZ Live cameraman ran into Shelton at his studio, the cameraman asked Shelton how his relationship with the fellow Voice coach was going, and Shelton responded with “going good.”
After the cameraman moved on to a new question, Shelton continued on the relationship topic, calling Gwen Stefani a “good friend.” For the guys at TMZ Live, that answer was odd, and in talking with Charles Latibeaudiere, TMZ founder Harvey Levin said so.
“That was a very cautious and weird answer, and especially the way he punctuated it after the fact. It feels like he’s starting to backpedal. He’s getting you ready for the inevitable ‘eh, we’re not dating anymore.'”
During the segment, Latibeaudiere questioned whether Gwen and Blake were ever even dating at all. Instead of truly being in a relationship, Latibeaudiere believes that the couple got together just for ratings, and in a few weeks they’ll come out and say that the relationship is over.

Levin didn’t all-out disagree, but he said he thinks Blake and Gwen “may have hooked up” and then got stuck in the ensuing media firestorm.
“I think that the two of them have a lot in common and they may have hooked up, and once you hook up that doesn’t mean it’s somebody that you’re going to want to be with for two months or two years. Then all of a sudden what you’re left with is this torrent of publicity. And you may have hooked up a couple of times, and it’s like ‘Do we carry this forward cause everybody’s expecting it?’ and I kind of think that’s where they are.”

Rumors surfaced that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were dating after news of Gwen’s divorce from her now ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, broke earlier this year. Rossdale and Stefani had been together for more than 13 years and have three children together. Since the split, rumors have surfaced that Gavin cheated on Gwen with the couple’s nanny, Mindy Mann.
Like Gwen, Blake also split from his former spouse, Miranda Lambert, earlier this summer. Many media outlets have speculated that Blake and Gwen were able to find solace in one another as they dealt with similar, sweeping life changes.
Perhaps, only time will tell whether Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are in it for the long haul, but an AMA audience pairing could provide some insight into the relationship, which some are now questioning.
