‘SNL’ Popular Videos: ‘Star Wars’ Auditions, Thanksgiving Dinner Where Everyone Sings Adele’s ‘Hello’ [Videos]

The SNL episode that aired on Saturday, November 21, featured a bunch of popular skits that can be witnessed by their popularity on YouTube. A search for SNL videos uploaded to YouTube on Sunday, November 22, sorted by the most-viewed SNL skits shows the ones getting the most buzz.

Matthew McConaughey hosted the SNL episode that tackled Syrian refugees, Adele, and Star Wars, as reported by the Hollywood Reporter?. And speaking of Star Wars, the most popular SNL video thus far includes Star Wars auditions with stars like Sofia Vergara, Chris Tucker, and others auditioning for the famous movie – as played by SNL cast members.

Uploaded to YouTube on November 22, the SNL skit about Star Wars has already gained more than 11,000 views.

“J.J. Abrams shares The Force Awakens screen tests for Daisy Ridley and Sofia Vergara (Cecily Strong), John Boyega, Emma Stone, David Beckham (Taran Killam), Jon Hamm and more.”

Jon Hamm, Emma Stone, and other real celebrities played themselves in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens audition parody, as reported by the Daily Beast. Stone parodied herself on SNL by saying she could play a part-Asian character, such as she did in Aloha.

The next most popular SNL sketch from Saturday night was the hilarious video titled “A Thanksgiving Miracle – SNL,” which also was uploaded on November 22, and also enjoys more than 11,000 views on YouTube. The SNL skit begins with a typical family at the Thanksgiving dinner table having issues when controversial topics arise.

Talk of Syrian refugees, transgender topics, and other off-limit subjects brings melee to the table, until a young girl turns on “Hello” by Adele. Eventually, all the SNL characters morph into Adele in her “Hello” video, sporting beautiful long nails and a fur jacket.

“There’s only one thing that can keep a family (Beck Bennett, Jay Pharoah, Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, Matthew McConaughey, Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer) from fighting at Thanksgiving: Adele.”

When the “Hello” song is turned off, the arguing begins anew. When the young girl turned the music back on again, the SNL characters resumed their unity in song.

Adele performing her “Hello” hit song live on SNL is also a popular video, having gained nearly 8,000 views within hours.

The “3D Bio-Print man” skit on SNL was pretty humorous as well, with the premise of the SNL sketch being that one man was fully printed by a 3D printer. That 3D man was portrayed by McConaughey, and Matthew did a bang-up job by dancing like a robot and speaking unusually all throughout the SNL skit. Matthew’s character was pitted against two other men – real men – who, combined with the 3D-printed man – performed a test on viewers who had to guess who was the 3D man. With Matthew’s crazy antics, it was obvious he wasn’t a real man.

“Bio-Print challenges an audience to figure out which man (Beck Bennett, Taran Killam, Matthew McConaughey) is printed.”

Finally, the “Weekend Update” segment of SNL proved to be popular as well, with the part two of video from SNL gaining more than 2,000 views in three hours. Michael Che and Colin Jost exchanged jokes, with Che getting big laughs on a joke that placed Colin at the butt of a quip about a man with no penis needing surgery.

The “Weekend Update” anchors also joked about Jared Fogle being grateful he got anything under 18 years – in prison, that is. It was an SNL joke that drew jeers and boos. Beyond jokes about cat owners dying of loneliness, it was the character of David Ortiz – as played by Kenan Thompson – that got the most applause on SNL. Thompson’s character joked about a new dating app called “Go Outside,” that helps people meet others by going outside.
