Jennifer Lawrence is not one to mince words, so, when The Hunger Games actress revealed that her nickname for co-star Liam Hemsworth was “Bear,” during a Conan O’Brien interview, the talk show host immediately took notice. When O’Brien asked Ms. Lawrence to elaborate on the nickname, Jennifer was all too eager to elaborate.
“He’s an animal!”
Jennifer Lawrence Gives An Insider’s Look Into The Hemsworth Family
As Jennifer was asked to go into detail about her comments regarding Liam and Chris Hemsworth, Ms. Lawrence revealed that everyone in the Hemsworth family communicates in the most physical ways. Lawrence says she has never seen a family that acts so crazy.
Ms. Lawrence described the craziness in terms of antics that Liam and Chris get up to, such as eating one another’s scabs. From there, Jennifer went into a crazy tirade of her own, as Ms. Lawrence impersonated the Hemsworth brothers, re-enacting a scenario in which Liam and Chris bet each other $5 over eating each other’s scabs.
“They’re disgusting,” The Hunger Games‘ Ms. Lawrence said, according to Us Weekly. “They’re real bears; they’re animals!”
Disgusting dares are only the beginning, says Jennifer, as she goes on to reveal that practical jokes are a big thing with both Hemsworth brothers.
“Chris, one time, thought it was funny to bust in on his friend that was in the shower and cut his hair off,” Lawrence said, laughing. “They’re really intense.”
Jennifer also said that Liam Hemsworth is unlike his animalistic nickname in one way and that is due to Liam being a vegan. Even when out to dinner with Lawrence and the rest of The Hunger Games cast, Hemsworth declined to indulge in red meat.
Passengers Actress Jennifer Lawrence Needed To Get Drunk To Film Sex Scenes With Chris Pratt
Jennifer was recently feeling the pressure of another role, as she was asked to perform with her Passengers co-star, Chris Pratt. A scene in Passengers requires intimate moments between Lawrence and Chris, which is Jennifer’s first real sex scene. The reason behind Jennifer’s anxiety had little to do with it being her first time filming an intimate moment and more to do with Pratt himself.
“I got really, really drunk. But then that led to more anxiety when I got home, because I was like, ‘What have I done? I don’t know,'” Ms. Lawrence said, as reported by CNN. “And he was married. And it was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach.”
Chris Pratt and Anna Faris have been married since 2009 and share a son together, which all served to raise feelings of guilt in Jennifer, the actress confessed. Lawrence says that she understands it’s her job to make her characters as real as possible and that it sometimes means faking passion and intimacy with co-stars, but that didn’t comfort her or help to ease her guilt.
Jennifer Lawrence also admitted that the guilt over her sex scene with married Chris Pratt was so great that the Passengers actress ended up calling her mother. Jennifer said she needed validation from her mother, because the incident left her feeling the most vulnerable she has ever felt.
“So I called my mom, and I was like, ‘Will you just tell me it’s OK?’ ” Ms. Lawrence revealed. “It was just very vulnerable. And you don’t know what’s too much. You want to do it real, you want everything to be real, but then… That was the most vulnerable I’ve ever been.”
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth, was released on November 20 in theaters.
Passengers, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, is scheduled for a December 21, 2016, theatrical release.
