Things are really heating up on The Bold and the Beautiful right now, and the rumors are flying that Pierson Fode might be leaving the show. Celeb Dirty Laundry shared that there is talk that Pierson has been picked up on another show, and if this is the case, then Fode will be too busy to film a show that has new episodes on every single day. He plays the role of Thomas Forrester.
Honestly, the show would not be the same without Pierson's character, so they would probably need to replace him with a new actor. Rumor has it that Pierson Fode could end up getting cast as the new lead in the new prime time version of MacGyver.
During a recent interview with Lilly Melgar and Martha Madison on their talk show, Pierson teased that he could turn duct tape and a moped into an airplane. Of course, this brought up MacGyver talk, and Pierson even told them to call his agent if they needed him for the new hit show. He didn't act like this was something he would never consider, that is for sure.
Honestly, it sounds like this is all just random talk right now, but the thing is, Pierson Fode isn't making it sound like The Bold and the Beautiful is what he plans to do forever. If a big prime time show came knocking, then Fode would possibly be willing to move on and start acting somewhere else. Fode was on the HBO hit show Hello Ladies before landing this role, and also did the mini-series Storytellers. There were some rumors that Justin Hartley of The Young and the Restless could be getting this role, but Justin just signed on for two more years on his show. Unless he wanted a packed schedule, there is no time for Hartley to do both shows. When he was on the show Mistresses, Hartley didn't have a role that kept him super busy and this was just a summer series, not one that lasted all year long. This does leave it open for someone like Pierson Fode.
Pierson Fode has only been playing his current role for about six months. Viewers do seem to like Fode's character so far, but that doesn't mean that he can't be replaced. Fode is getting his name out there, and you never know who might decide to offer him a big role. A lot of people use soap operas to launch their careers and then move on to something else.Hollywood Reporter shared that a new version of MacGyver is coming on its way, but the details are just starting to come out. Scott Gemmill will actually pen the script and executive produce alongside Henry Winkler.
The original show ran for seven seasons, and of course, had a huge fan base. Anyone who can land this role is going to launch their career to new heights. So far, they are simply sharing that the show is coming, but details of how soon it will happen have not been released.
Are you shocked to hear that Pierson Fode might not stick around on The Bold and The Beautiful long-term? Do you think that he would make a great MacGyver? Sound off in the comments below and don't miss new episodes of The Bold and The Beautiful weekdays on CBS.
