Check Out The Best Spots In Windenburg, The New World In ‘The Sims 4’ Expansion ‘Get Together’

With a little over two weeks remaining until the second expansion for The Sims 4 releases, developers are taking the time to introduce players to the new world of Windenbug in “Get Together.” Specifically, a look at some of the existing locations of the world is the focus of discussion today with a new Windenburg exploration video to top it all off.

New locations in Windenburg are briefly detailed in the post, and it seems the new world will offer something for any player of The Sims 4 to appreciate. In the developer blog on the official website, six venues and locations are mentioned each with their own personality and special accoutrements.

In Windenburg, The Sims 4 players will find The Von Haunt Estate with a large hedge maze, floating piano, and some otherworldly residents. If the famous museum on that property does not interest a Sim, then he or she can head over to The Bluffs. The Bluffs are situated on the island found in Windenburg where Sims can cozy up to the new bonfire object, take a dip in the new natural pools, or even spot the mysterious Windenburg sea monster.

Venues in the “Get Together” expansion that are sure to impress include cafés and community pools. Sims can visit the local barista for a cup of coffee, or they can check out the Windenburg public pool where they can experience The Sims 4 new Jumping Platform object.

Even the existing bar venue is a little bit different thanks to “Get Together.” Players will be able to construct new “European-inspired Discotheques and quaint Pubs” thanks to the expansion. Sims can also play new pub games or experience specialty theme nights at the local bar. Foosball, Darts, and Don’t Wake the Llama are a few example of the former while Ladies’ Night is a good instance of the latter.

Windenburg will also be home to some Ancient Ruins and two 64 x 64 lots, the largest lot size ever to be included in The Sims 4. Sims will be able to throw a party anywhere with “Get Together” and the Ruins are said to be one of the best places in Windenburg to enjoy some revelry.

Developers of The Sims 4 recently revealed how they built the world of Windenburg. As the Inquisitr stated, developers displayed concept art and early in-game screenshots of what players can expect from Windenburg when it releases as part of the “Get Together” expansion next month. Several of the buildings and locations highlighted in the special location post were touched on during the previous developer blog as well. Most notably, the Windenburg concept art almost always includes the island on the map which was identified as The Bluffs today.

“Get Together” the second expansion to The Sims 4, releases on December 8. Players will be able to create and participate in the new Club feature, pick up the new DJ and dancing skills, Whoo-hoo in new places, and install walk-in closets to their homes when the expansion launches. Like “Get to Work,” this expansion also costs $39.99, and it can be pre-purchased now directly from Origin.

Arguably the biggest feature in “Get Together,” besides the new world of Windenburg, is the flexible Club feature. Players will be able to create and join Clubs that let Sims out of their normal trait-driven patterns in order to fit in with their Club members. Clubs can have rivals, help out the community, designate their own hangout, or build their own clubhouse when “Get Together” goes live. Check out 11 ways Clubs can be customized in another developer blog.

Will you be moving Sims to Windenburg in December?
