CL, Not K-Pop Group 2NE1, Is Returning On November 21st At 21:00 With ‘Hello B**ches’ As Confirmed By YG Entertainment

Earlier this week, the K-pop community — especially Blackjacks (hardcore 2NE1 fans) — were excited at the possibility of popular girl group 2NE1 making their return to the K-pop scene. The reason why so many think CL, Bom, Dara, and Minzy are about to return has to do with a teaser YG Entertainment posted on their Instagram. The teaser, attached below, shows the words “Who’s Next?” accompanied with a date and time of November 21, 2015 at 21:00 (6 p.m.). The emphasis on two and one caused many to think YG Entertainment was teasing 2NE1 because their group name utilizes both numbers too.

However, certain statements made by YG Entertainment Chief Yang Hyun Suk were contrary to 2NE1 making their return. The first statement Hyun Suk provided had to do with Park Bom, who is known simply as Bom in 2NE1. As of now, she is still in self-reflection after local Korean news reported that back in 2010, she tried to smuggle illegal substances. Reportedly, they were 82 pills of narcotic amphetamines. As for the second statement, Hyun Suk did say YG Entertainment was first working on the American solo debut of CL, 2NE1’s leader. He also made it clear that 2NE1’s comeback would only happen after CL’s solo endeavors were completed.

Still, fans of the K-pop community and Blackjacks stood firm on the belief that YG Entertainment’s teaser was still pointing to 2NE1’s comeback. In the end, however, it did not point to 2NE1 but their leader CL. It is now confirmed that November 21, 2015 at 21:00 will be the release date and time of CL’s latest song, “Hello B**ches.”

According to Korea Times USA, YG Entertainment confirmed CL’s release of her new song “Hello B**ches” on November 21, 2015 at 21:00 on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. They uploaded a confirmation on their Instagram as verification to fans of the K-pop community.

For those who haven’t kept up with CL’s solo music career in the United States, news about it first appeared earlier this year. Reportedly, CL was collaborating with Diplo for her American debut. Needless to say, the musical relationship between CL and Diplo seemed to be a match made in heaven, albeit it not being perfect all the time. As a matter of fact, CL’s song “Doctor Pepper” was made when she showed up to the studio to record and Diplo was absent, a situation that annoyed her.

“Doctor Pepper” was released three months ago, so it is about time CL delivered something new to keep people interested in her solo career. With the help of Yang Hyun Suk, fellow 2NE1 member Dara, and fellow YG Entertainment K-pop idols from Big Bang, G-Dragon and Taeyang, CL revealed the letters of her brand new song “Hello B**ches,” as reported by Pop Crush. After that, CL kept promotions for the song going by sharing the song’s cover art on her official Instagram.

“Hello B**ches” will premiere on Noisey. After that, it will be available for free download on Soundcloud. True, it is not CL’s debut album (which seems to be taking forever), but “Hello B**ches” is sure to keep her fans satisfied until its release.
