Florida Man Accused Of Breaking Baby’s Skull With Concrete

A Florida man has been charged with various crimes associated with a Monday night incident which has left a baby severely injured. The Dreamin’ Demon reports that 32-year-old Levi Steere is accused of breaking a 6-month-old infant’s skull during a violent altercation over stolen credit cards.

The incident reportedly took place on Monday night when Amanda Kirkland (the mother of the child) showed up at Steere’s Leesburg home in order to pay him back money she had owed him. However, the otherwise uneventful visit turned violent when Steere accused the woman of trying to use stolen credit cards to pay him back the amount, which has not been specified in media reports.

The Florida man kicked the woman off his property, but she allegedly returned later with her boyfriend, who attempted to vandalize the home by throwing a brick through his window. This angered Levi Steere, who retaliated in kind. The man allegedly threw chunks of concrete at the couple’s vehicle as they fled from the scene of the incident.

NBC News Channel 8 reports that one of the chunks of cement thrown by Levi James Steere crashed through one of the car’s windows, causing the glass to shatter into the vehicle. As it turns out, Amanda Kirkland and her boyfriend brought their 6-month-old baby along for the ride when they allegedly threw the brick through the man’s window. A chunk of concrete allegedly thrown by Levi Steere hit the infant in the head and fractured her skull. When the baby was rushed to the hospital she was classified as in critical condition. Thus far, the baby has had at least one surgery, and her condition has not been updated through media reports.

The Florida man was charged with at least two counts of throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle and aggravated child abuse. At this time it hasn’t been reported on whether or not Amanda Kirkland and her boyfriend will face any charges associated with bringing their 6-month-old infant to a dangerous situation.

As always, news surrounding either “Florida man” or “Florida woman” have dominated headlines. Social media accounts such as @_FloridaMan have hundreds of thousands of followers that take interest in the bizarre and tragic stories that come out of the southern state.

One recent incident involves the tragic death of Christina Meagher, who was shot dead earlier this month. The suspect in her shooting, Tyrone Fields, claims that he accidentally shot her while the two were participating in “freaky sex.” The Florida man told authorities that they were roleplaying and simulating a violent act during sex, which involved him pointing a gun at her head. Authorities in Tampa have confirmed that there were no signs of forced entry in the motel room where the shooting occurred. There were also no signs of sexual battery or struggle, which indicates that Tyrone Fields is telling the truth.

Also recently, a Florida man who became notorious more than a year ago for shooting his wife and posting her corpse online, is on trial. He reportedly claimed to have suffered from “battered spouse syndrome,” which led to the violent shooting death of Jennifer Alfonso. The alleged murder went viral after Derek Medina posted a photo of her dead body on Facebook with a sort of explanation behind why he shot her dead.

In the latest case involving Levi Steere, it’s fortunate that the 6-month-old infant was not killed in the misfortunate incident. However, the infant has not been updated in the media from being in critical condition.
