World’s Most Expensive Face Cream Costs More Than Gold

Want to look beautiful? Do you have $13,213 to spend on face cream? For the 30th anniversary of the beauty line Cle de peau Beaute, the Shiseido Company will release La Creme, which is believed to be the most expensive face cream in the world.

The Daily Mail reports that Sisley’s Sisleya Anti-Aging Concentrate Firming Body Care was previously the most expensive face cream at $415 per 150ml container. If you wanted to buy a 150ml container of La Creme you’d have to spend close to $40,000. But don’t worry, buying 150ml of the new beauty product will be nearly impossible.

Only three jars of the expensive face cream will be going on sale in Japan and each will contain 50ml of the fancy beauty product.

Megumi Kinukawa, a spokesman for Cle de peau Beaute, said:

“We do not usually make limited editions of our products. We hope it will appeal to our loyal customers and people who are interested in gorgeous brands.”

So why the huge price? The new product has ” powerful anti-ageing properties” but it also comes in a hand-crafted jar designed by French glass maker Crystal Saint-Louis and contains thirty layers of crystal.

The Telegraph reports that Amanda Seyfried is modeling the rare and expensive face cream. On the website the company writes:

“As the exciting embodiment of luminous sophistication and natural radiance, Amanda Seyfried captures the very essence of Cle de peau Beaute. She is pure of heart, vibrantly alive, and brings joy to the lives of others.”
