Will Smith Proves He’s Ready For Latin Grammys With One Epic Picture

Rapper Will Smith apparently wants the world to know that he is ready to perform at the 2015 Latin Grammys ceremony Thursday night.

The Grammy winner posted a black-and-white photo on Facebook Thursday that spoke volumes.

In the photo, you cannot see his face, eyes, or trademark smile. However, you can see exactly what you need to see – Will Smith’s left hand firmly gripping a microphone.

Between the photo and his caption, it is clear that the man formerly known as the Fresh Prince is ready to return to the stage in a big way.

“Looking forward to getting back on stage tonight.”

Will Smith will join Bomba Estereo on stage for an inevitably memorable performance of their collaborative remix of the hit song “Fiesta.”

In an interview with People en Espanol magazine last month, the actor expressed his excitement over having the chance to perform at the Latin Grammys.

“It’s truly an honor for me to perform at the Latin Grammys. To be surrounded with so many artists who have made such an impact globally is really exciting to me.”

The hit collaboration between Will Smith and Bomba Estereo answered a big question that many fans and critics asked back in September after the Oscar-nominated actor posted a particular photo of the musical group on Facebook.

“Felicidades to BOMBA ESTEREO on their Latin Grammy Nominations!”

There is nothing necessarily wrong with one celebrity congratulating another on an award nomination. Thanks to social media, that type of respectful commendation seems to pop up quite frequently throughout the year — award season after award season.

However, the combination and overall friendship of Will Smith and Bomba Estereo — at least at that time — were still a mystery filled with unanswered questions. That was, of course, until the former sitcom star made headlines when the “Fiesta” remix was finally released to the world.

After a 10-year hiatus from releasing music, many of Will’s fans and critics were overwhelmed with excitement about his decision to return to his first vehicle into the spotlight.

During an interview with Zane Lowe from Beats 1 Radio, Will mentioned that he was taking his return to music very seriously and has already recorded at least 30 songs.

“I have six or seven that I really like… I have so many things I want to say, and I’m struggling to say them in a way that fit the flavor of music I tend to like. I’m from the era where it’s 16 bars and hook, 16 bars and hook, bridge, hook, and out.”

There are so many people that are excited about seeing Will Smith return to the stage Thursday night alongside Bomba Estereo to perform the “Fiesta” remix. That is made crystal clear just by looking at the numerous tweets that talk about it.

Whether Will Smith plans to release his own studio album or even another single within the next year or so still has yet to be seen.

His fans do know that his acting days are definitely not behind him, especially with two highly anticipated film releases on the horizon: Concussion and Suicide Squad.

However, it is apparently clear that Will Smith is ready to make even more headlines tonight with his performance at the Latin Grammys. The 47-year-old actor/rapper even posted a foreshadowing and artistic photo on Facebook to prove it.
