As Josh Duggar Gets Sued By Film Star, Anna Duggar Considers Divorce & Duggars Divide On Forgiving Vs Shunning

As Josh Duggar continues to generate scandalous headlines, with the latest being sued by an adult film personality, will the already divided Duggar family continue to take sides, with some seeking to forgive the husband of Anna Duggar and others shunning him? And what happens to Anna, mother of their four children, now that she’s parenting primarily on her own? As the Duggar family scandal timeline continues to grow, fans and followers, as well as those against the 19 Kids and Counting clan, are seeking answers.

As the Inquisitr reported, the scandals generated by the 27-year-old began with reports that he molested five underage girls, four of whom were his sisters, followed by the Ashley Madison site accounts that were unveiled and Duggar’s own confession that he had cheated on his wife Anna and was addicted to porn. He then went into rehab for sex addiction. Now he’s back in the headlines with the revelation that adult film celebrity Danica Dillon is suing him and seeking $500,000.

“[The incidents were so awful they caused] physical and emotional injuries… [like] being raped,” per the court documents.

In addition to responding to the battery allegations from Danica, Duggar may face questions about what he’s done in the past, from that porn addiction and cheating on Anna to the molestation of five underage girls, four of whom were his sisters, according to the adult film star’s attorney.

And it’s what he’s done in the past that has already caused his family to divide, while Anna has sought to stay strong. But why are only some family members forgiving him for his sins, while others are shunning? It’s because those who refuse to forgive don’t believe Duggar is truly remorseful, reported Entertainment Tonight.

Those who forgive him have been sending letters to encourage him. But the others are skeptical that he’s sorry for what he did.

“He is not the person everyone thought they knew,” an insider told ET.

But is the oldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar still at the rehab center? A plane with patriarch Jim Bob and a Duggar son was seen at an airport near the treatment facility, and some suspect he may have left early. Not even all the Duggar family members may know for sure, according to what a source revealed to ET about the Duggar communication style.

“Nobody communicates and it’s weird and tough. I think they just don’t really trust a lot of people right now, so they want to keep things on a ‘need-to-know’ basis.”

As for the center itself, Reformers Unanimous Recovery Program clarified its goals.

“RU’s goals are graduates, not students. We wish that people would stay to finish — but sometimes they chose not to,” said a staff member, Cisco Cervantes.

As for whether Anna is considering divorce, she revealed she knew before they were married about what she terms “mistakes” when he was a teen and that Josh confessed to Anna two years before his proposal, reported People.

Thus, after the reports surfaced detailing the molestation of the underage girls, Anna was firm in stating that she supported him.

“When my family and I first visited the Duggar home, [he] shared his past teenage mistakes. I was surprised at his openness and humility and at the same time didn’t know why he was sharing it… he wanted not just me but my parents to know who he really was – even very difficult past mistakes,” added Anna.

But now that the scandals have escalated, from cheating on her to porn addiction to being sued, Anna is feeling disgusted enough to divorce him, revealed Hollywood Life.

As the scandals increased, the final incentive came when, in addition to Dillon, another adult film star is allegedly going to step forward with her own claims against Josh.

“[Anna] is really starting to believe that divorce is the only option,” shared one insider, according to Hollywood Life.

Daniel Keller, the brother of Anna, has encouraged his sister by stepping forward to attack her husband, reported E! News.

Trying to get Anna to leave the Duggars and her husband, Daniel posted on social media about what the Bible says.

“You have to confess and forsake your sin to have mercy. Not sin confess and repeat,” said Daniel. “I won’t stop trying to get that pig out of our family.”
