‘Arrow’ Season 4 — The Team Searches For Diggle’s Brother While Thea Tries To Control Her Bloodlust In Episode 7

With only one more episode until Arrow’s crossover with The Flash, the upcoming installment is set to feature some exciting developments. In particular, is has been revealed that John Diggle’s (David Ramsey) brother, Andy (Eugene Byrd), may not have been assassinated after all and is possibly still alive waiting for his brother to rescue him.

According to the International Business Times, the next episode will pick up following the fight Team Arrow had with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) in the last episode. Although their aim to save Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) from the hands of Darhk was accomplished, it also came with the revelation that Darhk’s supernatural abilities are far stronger than the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and his team had anticipated.

At the same time, Thea (Willa Holland) was shown to still be struggling with the ill effects from her ordeal at the Lazarus Pit. As fans will recall, Thea was all but dead back in Season 3 when a short dip in the healing waters saved her life. Ever since then, she has been dealing with a voracious bloodlust that has threatened to ruin her life and everyone in it.

According to the synopsis for Episode 7, which was released by TV Guide, Thea will be dealing again with her bloodlust, only this time she is set to lose control while hanging out with Alex (Parker Young). This is significant because Thea asked Alex out in the last episode in order to some sense of normalcy to her crazy life.

This means that Thea’s secret might be revealed to a civilian, which could have some big consequences down the road. What happens as a result of this revelation will certainly be interesting to see unfold in the coming installment, along with how Thea deals with her growing urges.

Speaking of revelations, the biggest one to be uncovered in the next episode involves John’s brother and how Darhk was involved in his death. The story of John’s brother and his apparent death have been a plot point ever since Season 1 of the show. In fact, John’s quest to discover why his brother met an unfortunate end has been his side mission since the start of the show.

Until now, John believed that his brother was murdered. However, it now appears as though his brother was never killed after all. John was able to determine in past episodes that his younger brother was mixed up with some criminal activities in the past and that the Darhk-led group H.I.V.E. had his brother murdered in order to slim down their competitors. As it turns out, Andy was never killed by Darhk’s organization.

Instead, Andy has been working for Darhk ever since his disappearance. Although this revelation is certainly unsettling for John, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) believes that Andy is not working under his own volition. Her theory is that Andy is under the control of Darhk, who is using some of his magic to get inside Andy’s head.

Although John’s mission has now changed to trying to find a way to rescue his brother from Darhk’s evil control, it isn’t clear how and when that will happen. Further, it isn’t known if Darhk put the whammy on Andy or if he just chose to switch sides. After all, he does have a sketchy past that involved criminal activity. Whatever the case, the coming episode should shed more light on the situation.

Fans can watch to see what happens with John’s brother and Thea’s growing bloodlust when Episode 7 of Arrow, titled “Brotherhood,” airs Wednesday night on The CW.
