Denise Richards’ ex-husband, 50-year-old actor Charlie Sheen, revealed he was HIV positive during an interview on the Today show on November 17. A short time later, Denise Richards was spotted in Los Angeles.
According to a November 17 report by the Daily Mail, Denise Richards was seen grabbing coffee from a Los Angeles Starbucks hours after her former partner came clean about his illness.
Then, later in the day on Tuesday, Denise Richards and her youngest daughter, 4-year-old Eloise, whom she adopted years ago, were photographed as they arrived back to their home. In photos, Denise Richards carried Eloise on her hip while clad in a black tank top, a gray shawl, and dark pants. Earlier in the day, Denise Richards was wearing a different outfit, with a plaid shirt and light jeans, and was seen carrying a CVS bag as she made her way to her car.

Denise Richards had also been spotted with her dad, Irv, and her three children, Sam, 11, Lola, 10, and Eloise, 4, in Malibu, California, days prior.
On November 17, a source spoke to Hollywood Life, revealing Denise Richards was concerned about her two daughters’ father following his HIV reveal.
Denise Richards “has been in constant contact with [him] since he’s publicly announced his status. [Denise Richards] always supported him with this in the past but now she feels Charlie needs her more than ever,” the source explained.
“[Denise Richards] knows very well Charlie’s extremely emotional and volatile. One minute he’s up and within seconds, he could flip and go to a very dark place. Coming clean publicly about his status was one of the hardest things he’s had to do, and it’s opened him up to lawsuits, public scorn and shame… [Denise Richards] fears he could go into a self-destruction mode.”
The source also said Denise Richards is “keeping a close eye” on her ex and giving “as much love and encouragement as she possibly can.”
Denise Richards, 44, married the former Two and a Half Men star in June 2002, over a decade after they met on the set of Loaded Weapon 1. Then, in March 2005, while pregnant with their second daughter, Lola, Denise Richards filed for divorce.

During his Today show interview, Sheen claimed to have informed Denise Richards, as well as his most recent ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, of his illness in 2011. At the time, he was still married to Mueller, but the couple had parted ways, and he had begun seeing a number of other women.
On November 16, a source confirmed to Access Hollywood that Denise Richards and her two daughters were not HIV positive. At the time of the report, which was shared one day prior to Denise Richards’ ex-husband’s interview, it was revealed she had known of his HIV for a “number of years.” The source also acknowledged Denise Richards had “not been intimate” with her ex since their divorce.
Although Denise Richards’ ex claims he informed his sexual partners of his HIV diagnosis, his ex-girlfriend, “goddess” Bree Olsen, appeared on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, confirming she was never told about the illness and blasting him for not disclosing his health issues with her. However, according to a TMZ report, Denise Richards’ former partner has denied Olson’s allegations, claiming he did not receive his diagnosis until May 3, 2011, which was two weeks before Olson broke up with him via text following a weeks-long courtship.
