Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris Still Going Strong Despite Rumors

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are still going strong despite the nonstop rumors about their relationship. Though the couple hasn’t been seen together in public for some time, both of their reps have claimed that Taylor and Calvin are very much together and aren’t breaking up anytime soon.

Taylor Swift has been completely “devoted” to Calvin Harris and is not interested in her ex-boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal, as previous reports have speculated. According to Life & Style magazine, the “Bad Blood” singer has not been secretly talking to the Academy Award-nominated actor behind her boyfriend’s back.

An inside source told the Hollywood Life that Taylor has remained focused on both her music career and her DJ Scottish boyfriend.

“That is complete nonsense of her being in contact with Jake. She is devoted to Calvin [Harris] and her career which are both going strong. She is not seeking anything from past boyfriends at all. She doesn’t talk to Jake.”

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal reportedly called it quits in December, 2010 after two months of dating. The country singer-turned-pop star has since moved on with Connor Kennedy, and then with One Direction’s Harry Styles, before being in her first long-term relationship in a while with Calvin Harris. Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have been dating since February or March, and appear to be doing well despite the breakup rumors. But, not everybody is happy to hear that the couple is still together.

“People want them to break up,” the inside source added, “but Calvin and Taylor are looking forward to the holidays and all that comes with that.”

The 31-year-old music producer was recently spotted shopping in Los Angeles and carrying around an Aladdin-style rug, sparking the rumors that he and his famous girlfriend may move in together sometime soon.

According to The Mirror, the new home décor comes on the heels of the rumors that Calvin is planning to propose to Taylor. He was recently spotted shopping for engagement rings in Beverly Hills. An alleged insider at the jewelry store said that Calvin had his eye on a $1.4 million diamond ring.

“He said he wanted something ‘very special’ for Taylor. He was asking about the best cuts and eyed a ring that was $1.4 million. He was clearly eager to get the perfect rock, no matter the cost.”

Sure Taylor and Calvin haven’t been spotted together for some time, but that doesn’t mean they’re not together. It looks like they’re sticking to their low key, secret dates. A fan tweeted that she spotted the couple sitting at a table next to her at the Soho House in Los Angeles. But, cameras and phones aren’t allowed in the upscale restaurant, which is probably the reason why Taylor and Calvin chose the establishment in the first place. Many celebrities frequent the hotspot because they’re not usually photographed inside the venue.

A fan named Kimmie Schier tweeted about her Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris sighting. She allegedly didn’t see them kiss or do anything romantic during their dinner. She also said that Swift left a few minutes before her boyfriend, who then left the restaurant with his friends.

The Las Vegas Sun also has some rumors about the couple on Monday evening, Nov. 16. According to their Wicked Whispers & Racy Rumors gossip column, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are secretly planning to spend New Year’s Eve with each other at Omnia. An insider told the news site that Taylor may fly down to Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve with her DJ boyfriend who’s spinning the turntables at Omnia for the countdown into 2016.

Swift is wrapping up her 1989 World Tour with three final shows in Melbourne, Australia in December before flying back home to Nashville for the holidays. This comes on the heels of reports that claimed Swift and Harris are looking to spend the holidays together. Rumors are also claiming that Swift will also perform at private show for high rollers on NYE, similar to the one Jennifer Lopez performed at Caesars Entertainment at last year’s New Year’s Eve party.
