Demi Lovato ‘Confident’ As She Covers Adele Song ‘Hello’

Demi Lovato couldn’t have been more “Confident” as she was when the singer covered the new Adele song “Hello” during a weekend performance at the KISS FM Fall Ball in Seattle on Saturday, Entertainment Weekly reported Sunday.

In what was billed as a special concert by Demi, fans were not disappointed. In addition to singing hits “Heart Attack” and “Confident,” Lovato left fans emotional as she covered the latest Adele hit song.

Fans were instantly enamored with the vocals Demi contributed to the song as she covered the Adele hit. Lovato was praised on Twitter by numerous fans — and even a musical artist or two — for her captivating and heartfelt rendition.

Even Demi couldn’t help expressing her excitement after she covered the Adele hit song. Taking to Instagram, Lovato posted a picture from the performance with a simple “Hello?” caption to capture the moment.

Reviews of the performance have been overwhelmingly positive after she covered the Adele song. USA Today wrote that Demi left the audience “speechless”, and the Huffington Post penned that Lovato “slays” the song as she covered “Hello.”

This is not the first time Demi has performed another artist’s hit. In September, Lovato tried her had at “Take Me to Church” by Hozier. The video showing Demi as she covers the song was also released by BBC Radio 1.

Fans may have additional opportunities to her Demi sing “Hello” live this year. Lovato will be playing several holiday radio concerts through December, Billboard reported. The “Skyscraper” singer will also receive the first “Rulebreaker” award at Billboard’s Women in Music event on December 11, 2015.

For her new album, Confident, Demi covers very little of her body for the album cover. Lovato took it a step further, posing nude for two separate magazines to show her new-found confidence as the singer matures.

Questions about the song “Cool for the Summer” also had Demi discussing her sexual past during a promotional interview for her new album. Lovato covers both bases, admitting the song was based on past experiences while not confirming she had experienced those.

Demi will take her new songs on tour next year with familiar touring partner Nick Jonas, the Inquisitr previously reported. Lovato and Jonas are taking part in Future Now: The Tour with stops in 44 cities in the United States.

Adele has been busy promoting her new album 25, using “Hello” to launch the compilation. Less than a month old, “Hello” has already been viewed more than 380 million times on YouTube, making it one of the fastest songs to reach that plateau.

Lovato isn’t the only person who has tried their hand at this Adele mega-hit. People has compiled a list of several amateurs who have belted the “Hello” lyrics in front of a camera or microphone. Famous individuals, such as rapper Rick Ross and Nick Jonas’ band DNCE, have tested the waters with their take on the smash hit. Even Rita Ora covers the song using a made-up language in a recent video.

Adele will be heading to the United States this week, performing at the Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, E! Online reported Sunday. The concert is being filmed and will air on NBC December 14 as the special Adele Live in New York City. Fans who are not lucky enough to see Adele sing “Hello” live can see her perform on Saturday Night Live this weekend as the musical guest.
