Ariana Grande Sings For Girl With Cancer [Video]


Ariana Grande has not only been busy on the Billboard 100 chart, but she has found time to grant wishes. According to ABC News Ariana Grande partnered up with Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant the wish of a girl diagnosed with cancer.

The young girls name is Danae Kirklen, and she is only nine years old. At this young age she has been diagnosed with Philadelphia syndrome, which is a rare form of leukemia. The diagnosis was received 18 months ago and Danae has been in and out of the hospital for those 18 months. Within this time, she had a stay that lasted an entire year.

Danae’s mother is impressed by how much her daughter has matured throughout her illness. She stated that her daughter sometimes seems to be in her late 20s, and the maturity seems to be brought on by the amount of pain that she has to endure.

It has been a hard time for Danae but music has been a big part of her life. Ariana Grande has been big part of getting her through her illness. “Love Me Harder” and “Break Free” are among her favorite songs from the artist.

“I always want to listen to Ariana Grande because it helped me calm down … and not worry as much as I could.”

This would explain why her submission to Make-A-Wish Foundation was to see Ariana Grande sing. Good Morning America was happy to be present when Danae got the news that her wish, to see Ariana Grande perform, had been granted. Before getting to see Ariana, Danae was flown to New York City, where she got to experiencing riding in a stretch limousine on her way to getting her makeover. Danae was then taken to an Ariana Grande concert where she was seated in the front row, Ariana Grande performed some of Danae’s favorite songs.

To top it all off, Danae was able to meet Ariana Grande in person after her concert, it was really a wish come true for Danae, and Ariana turned out to be everything she expected.

Ariana Grande has been added to the lineup for the 2015 American Music Awards. Ariana’s performance will be straight from her upcoming album Moonlight, due in 2016, she will be performing her single “Focus” for the American Music Award crowd.

This will be her third year in a row gracing the American Music Awards stage, with her first performance at the awards being in 2013. Ariana has performed on the at American Music Awards along side artist such as Jessie J, Nicki Minaj and The Weeknd.

Ariana Grande has won new artist of the year award in 2013 at the AMAs. Ariana is also nominated for artist of the year and favorite female artist – pop/rock for the 2015 AMAs. Depending on her success Ariana should appear on the stage multiple times on November 22.

Ariana Grande invitation to take the stage and perform ‘Focus’ comes on the heels of the single debuting within the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 song chart. Ariana has made history with her latest debut, with the debut single from each of her first three albums debuting in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 song chart. Billboard states that it is “an unprecedented Hot 100 feat.”

Even though this is her third debut single to hit the top 10, she has had an additional three singles that have made their way up the chart to be in the top 10, making for a total of six songs in the top 10 song chart.

Ariana Grande has been making waves since she has hit the music scene in 2013, earning the admiration of teenage girls throughout the years. There is no doubt that Ariana Grande will get the chance to grant more wishes.
