Khloe Kardashian has recently been providing more details about every aspect of what it’s like not just Keeping Up with the Kardashians but keeping up with a schedule that includes caring for her estranged husband Lamar Odom, holding onto her boyfriend James Harden, maintaining a weight loss of 35 pounds, and hyping a new book, Strong Looks Better Naked, on various talk shows.
Most recently, Khloe talked with Ellen DeGeneres about everything from the extent of her estranged husband’s medical crisis and the bombshell she hasn’t dropped on him to how she regards her relationships with Lamar and James, reported Entertainment Tonight.
During her November 16 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kardashian shocked by revealing that she feels in order to help her husband recover, she has withheld the facts about how he got a brain injury and why he is in the hospital. Khloe admitted that the once-athletic former NBA player now suffers from a variety of residual effects of his brain injury that include mental confusion and fragility.
“We tell him he had a brain injury, but I can’t tell him about how that brain injury was caused because it will set him back,” revealed Khloe.
However, Kardashian added that Lamar has not yet requested details of what happened and is unaware of the sequence of events that include being discovered unconscious at a Nevada brothel in October. He subsequently was put into a medically induced coma and is now recovering from health dangers that include organ failure and a heart attack. He remains at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with Khloe by his side.
“He’s really confused a lot so we have to remind him,” said Khloe. “Every day is different.”
Kardashian was the one who initially filed to divorce Lamar, but since his medical emergency, she cancelled the finalization of the divorce. That means Khloe is authorized to make all of his medical decisions. In addition, Kardashian has been paying his medical bills.
“I’m there helping him and I love him and I’ve always loved him,” emphasized Khloe. “And that will never change, and I just feel like it’s a really insensitive thing to fast forward a divorce.”
As for her romance with NBA player James Harden, Kardashian admitted that it’s unusual to have both a husband and a boyfriend.
“Definitely a very unique situation,” summed up Khloe. “[I’m] fine with it.”
Kardashian also sought to find some humor in the situation during her interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show broadcast November 16.
“I’m just gonna say I’m like part of polygamy now,” Khloe laughed. “I have a husband. I have a boyfriend. That’s a way easier thing to say.”
But Kardashian got serious in a separate interview about why family urged her to leave Lamar’s side, reported Us Weekly.
“Just recently I’ve been in the hospital for almost three-and-a-half weeks straight, and finally everyone was saying, ‘Khloe, you have to get out of the hospital and do something that’s for you,'” said the 31-year-old reality TV star.
Even going to the gym again was difficult, admitted Kardashian. But even though she finally took the break advocated by her supportive Kardashian family, Khloe remains focused on helping her husband survive the damage done to his body from the alleged combination of cocaine, herbal Viagra, and alcohol.
“I had such anxiety going to the gym, but as soon as I left, I felt like, ‘Oh my God, I’m okay. I’m human again.’ I just felt so good. But for those three weeks, I didn’t think about the gym because I was thinking about other things, and I don’t beat myself up about it,” added Khloe.
For those who question why she remains with her estranged 36-year-old husband, Kardashian sought to explain.
“He’s a fantastic person who deserves love and support and for someone to be by his side, and for me, I’m that to him,” said Khloe. “And thank God I have a fantastic family who loves me and loves him just as much. And they’re so supportive.”
