Scott Disick And Kourtney Kardashian Make First Public Appearance Since July, Is A Reconciliation In The Future?

Love may truly conquer all for Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian. On the heels of a turbulent year, even by Kardashian family standards, Kourtney Kardashian and the father of her three children, Scott Disick, seem poised for a reunion, if Disick can stay sober.

TMZ reports that Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian both attended a party in Malibu on Friday, November 13. Celebrity pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. hosted the party to mark the release of his new book, Sandcastle Kings. Longtime fans of the family flagship reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians may recognize Wilkerson as the officiant of Kim Kardashian-West and Kanye West’s wedding. Given that Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian broke up nearly five months ago, one might expect the two to give one another a wide berth at the party. Instead, TMZ found a video that shows the former couple standing next to each other. Sorry, Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans, so far, there haven’t been any reports of public displays of affection between Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian, but that doesn’t mean a reunion is totally out of the question.

In July, Scott Disick’s relationship with Kourtney Kardashian collapsed after he was photographed snuggling with ex-girlfriend Chloë Bartoli during a vacation in Monaco. Kourtney’s assistants moved Scott Disick’s belongings out of the Calabasas home the two shared with their three children, 5-year-old Mason, 3-year-old Penelope, and 11-month-old Reign. Since then, Disick has been mostly under the radar. Things changed in early October.

It’s no secret that Scott Disick has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction issues during his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. It’s also no secret that Lamar Odom, former husband of Kourtney’s sister, Khloe Kardashian, also struggled with addiction. Like his former Keeping Up with the Kardashians co-star, Disick refused rehab to treat his addiction. And like Odom, Disick’s relationship deteriorated because of it. But unlike Odom, Disick had three children with his former Kardashian paramour, and Kourtney Kardashian reportedly laid down the law sometime just before Odom’s overdose. Either Disick checked into rehab, or Kourtney would go to court.

While Lamar Odom traveled to the Nevada brothel for the vacation that nearly ended his life, Scott Disick checked into rehab. According to TMZ, Disick’s behavior has changed so dramatically since he went to rehab that Kourtney Kardashian isn’t just letting him see their kids, she’s considering a reconciliation. Reconciling with Kardashian will do more than keep Disick’s family together, it might keep his bank account in the black.

According to Radar Online, Disick recently had a dinner date with Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner. While the subjects of Kourtney Kardashian, their children, and Lamar Odom undoubtedly came up, sources say the main topic of conversation was Disick’s future on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Disick’s struggles with addiction were a major focus during the last season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but many questioned Disick’s future involvement with the show in the wake of his break up with Kourtney Kardashian. Reports varied from Disick making occasional appearances to Disick forbidden from appearing on the show or anywhere near the family at the demand of Kourtney Kardashian.

According to Radar Online, Kris Jenner offered Scott Disick a new contract, but the terms are steep. If Scott Disick wants to be part of the family reality series, he has to get sober and stay sober. At stake is Disick’s share of the $10 million contract Kris Jenner negotiated for Kourtney Kardashian.

By tying his family life and his business to his sobriety, Kourtney Kardashian and Kris Jenner may have given Scott Disick the best incentive they can for cleaning up his life. The rest is up to Scott Disick.
