Adam Levine’s Mother Thinks Son’s Marriage Is On The Rocks

Is Adam Levine’s marriage to Behati Prinsloo on the rocks? According to Levine’s mother, they’re about to split — but there’s a catch. It’s not that Levine’s mother has some sort of insider information, in fact, Levine’s mother seems to rely on tabloid reports to get her information on her son.

Levine thought this was hilarious, so he decided to share the news on Late Night With Seth Meyers. When rumors started to circulate that he was “back to his playboy ways” and his marriage was on the verge of divorce, the Maroon 5 singer said that he was texted by friends who were concerned about his marriage. Funnily enough, Levine was celebrating his one-year anniversary with his wife Behati when the news hit.

“We don’t ever pay attention to those things. It’s funny timing because we were on our second honeymoon and I got this influx of texts like, ‘Are you guys okay? What’s going on?’ and people also listen to this stupid stuff that they write about.”

Adam continued, “My mother thinks it’s all real.”

Levine went on to call the rumors mean. “We’re so happy, why would you do that?”

So what are these rumors? Well, according to Hollywood Life, Levine’s wandering eye has caused his wife Behati to become jealous. In Touch “verifies” these claims by saying that “Adam’s acting like the same playboy he was before they wed, and that’s a problem for his wife. She thinks it’s disrespectful for him to flirt with other girls when he’s married to her.”

Sources told the magazine that his busy career with Maroon 5 and his separate gig with The Voice is ruining his marriage after just one year.

“He goes out all the time and hangs out with other models. Recently, Adam had a guys’ night out and Behati found out he was chatting up girls. She was livid and they had a huge fight. It’s a sore spot for her.”

Of course, before Levine married Prinsloo, he had dated a string of models and was known as a playboy, but when he went back to Behati after their split, it was obvious that he retired his playboy ways. According to In Touch, this is not so.

“She never wanted to be that nagging wife, but now she is, constantly calling or texting Adam to see where he’s at. It’s driving him crazy—and pushing him further away,. He promised Behati that after they got married, things would change—and they haven’t.”

The Inquisitr reported about this news when it hit back in July, but the couple were quiet about the rumors. It looks like Levine took the time to comment on the rumors after they died down, using his signature witty humor to spin the story instead of staying silent forever.

As far as addressing rumors on his love life, Levine uses his Twitter account to poke fun at himself, and that includes taking jabs at his bald look that he sported for most of the season on The Voice. Of course, Levine also spends most of his time on Twitter poking fun at his Voice colleague Blake Shelton.
