‘Destiny’: Xur’s Exotic Goods For November 13, Upgrades Of Year One Pieces

Xûr, Agent of the Nine, can’t stay out of Destiny‘s Tower for long and is back the weekend of Friday, November 13 for another round of selling Exotic goods. PlayStation and Xbox players will find Year Two upgrades to some Year One favorites, though.

Destiny players looking for Xûr should turn right and head toward the hangar after spawning at the Tower. Once you’ve gone through the long hallway and entered the hangar, turn right and you will see the seller of Exotics. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map, just to be sure.

Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, November 15. As soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT, he will be gone.

Those unhappy with Xûr’s offerings can always pick up the Exotic Gauntlet Engram. Players at 300 Light and above will get a shot at a 310 Light item. Just remember that the Cryptarch looks at your current inventory to determine what you get and may give you something for another class if the current class is loaded with Exotic helmets.

Crest of Alpha Lupi

If you are a Titan and have been playing Destiny since The Taken King launched, you’ve probably already had several of these drop. If not, you are looking at the best team-focused Exotic that can be used effectively by all three Titan sub-classes. The “Keeper of the Pack” intrinsic perk gives extra Orbs of Light when using a Super ability and allows you to revive teammates to revive you and you revive them lightning quick.

The side bonuses give a choice between extra Pulse Rifle ammo and Shotgun ammo. This is a strong bonus for PVP as the current meta favors both of these weapons. It also comes with the perk for increased armor when playing as the Striker class, which may prompt a re-roll with a Glass Needle.

The max 110 Intellect is an excellent roll and fits all three Titan sub-classes perfectly.

Young Ahamkara’s Spine

Gunslingers get the Hunter Exotic from Xur’s inventory this week. The Year Two version of Young Ahamkara’s Spine grants an additional Tripmine Grenade as its innate perk in addition to extending grenade duration by 30 seconds.

Destiny players will also have the option between the “Fastball” perk for increased grenade throw distance and “Impact Induction” for bonus grenade energy on melee hits. Plus, there’s the choice of faster reloads for Scout Rifles or Shotguns.

An extra Tripmine Grenade in PVP is invaluable, which makes this a must pick up for Destiny Gunslingers who don’t have the Year Two version of this Exotic piece despite the low 68 Discipline roll.

Obsidian Mind

The Obsidian Mind helmet is a still must-have for Voidwalker Warlocks, especially in PVE. The “Insatiable” (Nova Bomb kills reduce Nova Bomb killdown) intrinsic perk will make your Warlock a Nova Bomb-chucking machine when combined with the optional perks of extra super energy from either grenade kills or Special Weapon kills. Pair this helmet with the Soul Rip class talent and Bad Juju’s “String of Curses” perk for even more supers.

The 49 Intellect / 50 Strength roll is not the best for Obsidian Mind, as you’ll prefer a pure Intellect stat roll to maximize the Super ability potential of the helm. A Glass Needle change on this helmet to get that, plus the “Inverse Shadow” perk in the final column, is recommended.
