Lindsey Vonn Addresses Single Life After Tiger Woods

Though Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods ended their three-year relationship in May, Vonn is not looking back. In fact, she says she is very happy being single, thank you very much, and she intends to stay that way for a while. Vonn says that she wants some time to spend with herself.

According to the Inquisitr, Vonn has been in the news lately, and not for positive things. Earlier this week, she tweeted pictures from the hospital, where she was getting some stitches for a dog bite on her hand. It seems that her dogs, Leo and Bear, were fighting over a frisbee when she intervened and got bitten. She was back on the slopes the next day, but the same couldn’t be said when she fractured her ankle in August after skiing at a snow camp in New Zealand for some pre-season skiing. Vonn would be the first to admit that she has been a bit accident prone.

E! Online is reporting that Lindsey Vonn has moved on from Tiger Woods and is in the best shape of her life, physically and mentally.

“I think it’s just given me more time to spend on myself,” she explains. “That’s what happens with most breakups: You really look at yourself and figure out what makes you happy, and you also have a lot more free time.”

Her focus now is to get back on top in the ski world, after a knee injury took her out of the last Winter Olympic Games.

“I’m focusing on my job—my skiing—and I’ve been working really hard. I got a new nutritionist, and I’m just doing everything I can to be in shape for this season. And it’s paying off.”

With a strict work-out regimen and some dietary changes which include adding some fats back into her diet, Vonn’s healthy glow comes from within, and not from a man in her life.

“I’m single, and I probably will be for a while,” she reveals to the publication, shutting down any speculation of her dating Britney Spears’ ex, Charlie Ebersol. “I think this is just a good time for me to focus on myself. I’m not ready to have a family yet, but I will be at some point.”

In an interview with Health Magazine, Vonn says she is defying the definition of strength and beauty in a variety of ways. Vonn says she thinks she sticks out on the red carpet at events because she is bigger than anyone else there.

“I’m, like, twice the size of anyone, in both height and weight! I’m five-foot-ten, but I’m definitely quite a bit heavier than everyone else. I feel like the odd man out sometimes, but that’s even more reason to be confident, to show girls that you don’t have to be a size 2 to be beautiful. Any size is beautiful as long as you’re confident in yourself.”

Vonn was asked if she believes in the revenge or break-up body, and if that is what has prompted her to get into such good shape. Vonn said no, she just believes that she finally has the time she needs to focus on herself and train like she is the priority, rather than having to be concerned with someone else.

Vonn was also asked if it’s odd to see her personal life splashed across headlines, to which she replied that it’s kind of funny, and that she doesn’t take it or herself too seriously.

Do you think Lindsey Vonn can fight her way back, injury free, to the top of the ski world again?
