Jennifer Lawrence Reveals That Men Are Mean To Her And Her Other Single Life Struggles

Jennifer Lawrence is here to tell you that your single life woes are nothing compared to hers. Okay, so not really, but she does lament a bit about her issues with dating around in the upcoming issue of Vogue.

Despite being one of the highest-paid actresses and an Academy Award winner, Lawrence thinks that these accomplishments are a huge turn off to men. Instead of going out on dates, the actress says her Saturdays are lonely.

“No one ever asks me out. I am lonely every Saturday night. Guys are so mean to me. I know where it’s coming from, I know they’re trying to establish dominance, but it hurts my feelings. I’m just a girl who wants you to be nice to me. I am straight as an arrow.”

Then she revealed to the reporter about the moment she got her dog Pippi. As it turns out, she received the dog when she needed her the most — on the heels of her iCloud hack, when hackers stole nude photos of her and published them on the internet for all to see.

Of the serendipitous circumstance, Lawrence said, “I was outside crying, and Pippi jumped up on my lap and started licking up all my tears, and I couldn’t put her down for hours. And I mean, hours. I was like, ‘Well, obviously, you’re mine.'”

So did Lawrence learn anything from the whole ordeal?

The actress said, “It was all pain and no gain, but I don’t dwell on it unless someone brings it up. Have you seen me naked?”

These days, you can’t say Lawrence’s name without Amy Schumer’s name attached since they’re both in the middle of writing their upcoming comedy together, which they’ll both star in as polar opposite sisters. Lawrence told the reporter during a tour of her home that they have 150 pages finished so far. Since this interview was a few months ago, we can already assume that they’re done with the script, right?

Here’s another tidbit from the conversation: Although she’s not dating anyone, she might be spending her Saturday nights with Mila and Ashton — yes, that Mila and Ashton. While she didn’t say anything about the specific day, Lawrence did mention that she hangs out with her new famous neighbors so much that they’re probably getting sick of her. Lawrence also says she can’t waste $5 and still refers to herself as “new money” when she realizes that she was supposed to chill the wine that she and the reporter drank.

So, post-Oscars Lawrence is as relatable and as candid as ever, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise. As the Inquisitr reported, Lawrence widened the discussion about the gender pay gap in Hollywood by writing an op-ed for Lena Dunham’s newsletter, Lenny, about her wanting to be liked over negotiating for a salary comparable to her male American Hustle co-stars.

At the time, she wrote, “When the Sony hack happened and I found out how much less I was being paid than the lucky people with dicks, I didn’t get mad at Sony. I got mad at myself. I failed as a negotiator because I gave up early.”

She continued, “I didn’t want to seem ‘difficult’ or ‘spoiled. At the time, that seemed like a fine idea, until I saw the payroll on the Internet and realized every man I was working with definitely didn’t worry about being ‘difficult’ or ‘spoiled.'”
